The room was clean, there is free Internet connection (not wireless, so bring your data cabel). The continental breakfast has very few options. You're better off buy your own.

Long weekend in Hinton-Jasper and my thoughts were for this hotel was " it's a good deal!" especially since our last stay was a the Holiday Inn Express for $110 (over 2 years ago). First, the lobby and the attendant, she was not as attentive, but was willing to provide info on anything I asked for to the best of her knowledge. The room itself was clean, simple and provided necessities for overnight, water, coffee, towels, etc. Breakfast was a pleasnat suprise since all they mentioned online was a simple breakfast. you had yogurt, toast, bagels, even hard-boiled eggs. There was cereals, fruits and juices; so it made the start of the morning satisfying. With respect to the housekeepers they do an excellent job they were warm and friendly and if i needed anything they were prompt and corteous. My kids wished there was a pool though, but they can't have everything they want. There was an excercise room, but some parts of the machine was broken and there was only one barbell system, i was glad it wasn't busy. Overall it was an okay stay.

Staff at entry was not overly friendly; there was a spotlight outside my window that flickered on and off all night long; had to wear an eye mask; breakfast was cheesy - just the bare minimum; overall, it was ok.

This hotel is in desperate need of sound proofing and customer service training. The room was very noisy and hotel staff often seemed to be too busy with other tasks to attend to the front desk or refill the coffee pot in the breakfast room.

Location of the hotel was great. Close to malls & restaurants. Basically the one issue I had was the cleanliness of the room. I realize times are tough for people, but seriously - does a hotel have to re-use their little shampoos and lotion? Can they not empty out the fridge from previous guests that have stayed there? Empty garbages? Would not recommend this hotel. Would rather sleep in my vehicle.

“Very Bad Hotel”

If you are looking for a great place to stay during your vacation or trip, DO NOT go to the Black Bear Inn in Hinton. Their service is unsatisfactory and the often mess up and give you a room that doesn't meet you expectations.
