“Good clean rooms”

This is a lovely hotel with nice amenities including an indoor pool and spa. I would have liked the heated pool to be bait warmer but managed to get in anyway. Breakfast was good with the continental but the full breakfast was a bit lacking with scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon being overbooked. Stick with the continental with lovely fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, coffee and juice and you will be happy. Beds were good, Internet in room was also good. Reception seemed friendly and haven complaints.

“Jasper Surprise”

Given the general trend of reviews in tripadvisor we didnt expect Chateau Jasper to rate much better than an "ok" but it turned out to be a delightful hotel. We had a large, modern design room that was impeccably clean and in excellent condition. The hotel has all the facilties you could ask for in a winter resort hotel including a hot spa and indoor heated pool. The hotels location just ten minutes walk to the centre of town is ideal for building up a thirst and hunger to work out at one of Jaspers many bars and restaurants (we particularly liked the Dead Dog pub, the excellent Downstream pub/bar and the Inn restaurant at the Best Western). Added to all this is the great value for money available by stayting in Jasper right now with few tourists around and low room rates everywhere. Better still you wont have to queue for the chairlifts at Marnmot Basin - three days ago only there were only 250 people on the mountain which made it like skiing in a private resort!

“Old but Perfect”

I stay in at least a hotel a month and i could not believe how well kept the place is. The furniture is from the 70's but like new. The bathroom you would think was install last week because of the condition, but it must be from the 70's. Perfect. Like your water ice cold and your hot water hot? This is the place for you. Great hot tub. I will be back. Only problem was double beds and not queens.

“Very nice; we'd go back.”

The Chateau Jasper is an older hotel that has been very nicely refurbished. The hotel is spotless, attractive; nicely appointed. The carpets look to be new as do the bathroom tiles. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I think they are set up to accommodate tour busloads and thus only have two double beds, but that certainly would not be a reason to avoid the hotel. They have a nice pool area with a hot tub. There is a nice trail not far up behind the hotel and one can walk above the town and enjoy a lovely view. We could hear the trains at night, but that would be in any Jasper hotel. We would stay there again; it would likely be our first choice.

“A very pleasant surprise”

When we booked this hotel we didn't expect too much as it was only for one night so that we could catch the Mountaineer the next morning. After check-in and viewing the room and ammenities we wished we'd booked to stay longer. I wouldn't say it was cheap as it was compairable to the other hotels in Jasper. It's not close to the town centre but is a pleasant walk and takes around 10 minutes. I know that if we travel to Jasper again it will be a stay at this hotel and not the Jasper Park Lodge that gets our business. Well done to all the staff who made our stay enjoyable and to the morning staff who made sure we didn't miss our train.

“Very pleasantly surprised”

I was very happy to find Chateau Jasper to be as nice as it was, at a very reasonable price. We also enjoyed the services of the dining room. The food was delicious and the servers were extremely friendly. Might I recommend the cheesecake?
