“Just OK for an over night stay.”
Hotel was just so-so. We didn't have many options left when we booked, so we ended up here. We were in for only one night, so it was sufficient. On the up side: Walkable distance to the core area of Jasper (only a couple blocks away). Grocery store attached to hotel is handy. Walk-out rooms on main floor, balconys on second floor. On the Down: Not enough parking for the whole hotel in their lot. We had to park on the street since we got in late. Beds very uncomfortable, hard as a rock. Hotel is not the best looking place, but it did look like they were renovating hot tubes on the main floor at least.
“just be aware”
for its mediocre quality it was very expensive. An older hotel remodeled. No continental breakfast included but available for C$ 9.00.
“Ok for one night”
loss parking at the hotel,we parked the car 2 corners away. The room was confortable and clean
“Noisy”
The staff were friendly and helpful doing a great job. The room was clean. However the hotel was in need of some TLC. There was an inch gap at the top of hallway door and you had to slam it to close it. We were delighted to see we had our own entrance, but could not use it as we could not close it from the outside when it was locked. And the screen door was no where need to fitting the frame. The dining room was nice and our server was excellent. However the food was not fabulous, my eggs were runny. The worst was the total lack of soundproofing. We were awakened around midnight when the tenant upstairs came in, bringing luggage and talking and laughing, so that had us up for about an hour. Then there was the train across the street, frequently goes through town. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful, they were great!
“Limited Resources; Not suitable with kids”
Stayed with two kids, they dont have microwave in the hotel and the food was very limited. hot tub was dirty. Not worth the money
“rate is way too much for this type of motel”
Too pricey for this type. I wont go back again. We went to edmonton the following day and checked-in at a new four star hotel and the rate is even cheaper plus breakfast. The sussie staff though were very courteous and helpful.
“Okay but have got better rooms from Expedia”
We had to weave our way through the houskeeping carts and supplies to get to our room. The room was large and adequate but not very clean. The phone was disgusting and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. We were on the ground floor with a sliding glass door to the parking lot. The door was not locked when we checked in. We had to park on the street as the parking lot was small and full. The adjoining restaurant as excellent with reasonable prices . We would eat there again. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very pleasant.
“Creaky and uncomfortable”
I could hear everything from the kids upstairs to the snoring next door. We were on the ground floor and our floor squeaked so loud.
“Horrible hotel”
Not impressed. Rooms very outdated and very dirty. Came in on a Monday to drop items off. Left the hotel to go shopping, got back late and went to bed. In the morning noticed a large amount of hair all over bathroom and the shower curtain was previously used as a tissue for someones nose. We notified staff, they switched us to a different hotel room. When we asked at check out if we were getting refunded they said "No, they were not informed of room problem until the am therefor there was nothing they could do about it" Apparently this hotel requires you to do a full cleanliness inspection ahead of time before you get comfortable. Will never go to this hotel or its affiliates ever again.
