“Absolutely wonderful!”

Outstanding. Absolutely beautiful setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice: roomy, spotless and very comfortable. Not the posh hotel type room, but an upscale cabin room. The service was fantastic. Everyone seemed to be genuinely concerned that we have a great stay....and we did!! The continental breakfast served in a beautiful dining room with great views, included all the normal continental breakfast fare, plus a HUGE fritatta....variety changed each day. We also had dinner there one night.... excellent though not inexpensive food, and it saved us a trip back into Jasper. Totally worth the extra drive from Jasper. We would love to go back again.

“Not in Jasper.”

The address is listed as Jasper, but in reality is 45 minutes out of town. Actually on the north side of the gates! Very nice place to stay once the location was clear. Gorgeous wood, cute little cabins. Very woodsy. Staff were courteous, friendly, helpful. Cpmjplimentary breakfast included frittata! Would stay again rather than staying in Hinton.

“quiet retreat”

A lovely hotel & with a nice restaurant and a cozy lounge where you can enjoy an after dinner drink in front of a roaring log fire. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our accommodation was clean and spacious.

“Great ambiance, beautiful scenario”

The cabins were spacious yet cozy, very comfortable beds, and the in-room fireplace was a great touch. The restaurant was amazing as well. Our only concerns were two spiders and having to wait for a receptionist to come back from break before we could check out.

“Lovely mountain lodge”

Beautiful lodge in the Canadian Rockies, slightly off the beaten path. The dining room is great!

“Not really what we expected...”

The cabin was cute..but we kinda expected there to be a tv in the room....I don't recall reading anywhere that there wasn't. Nice if you just want to relax and do nothing. The menu in the resturant is pretty high class and not at all kid friendly.

“Lovely country retreat”

Overall this was a lovely place. Really nice feel to the cottages and the main reception area. Little bit far out of Jasper but that didn't bother us in the end as it was often on the drive back to the hotel that we spotted LOADS of wildlife. Dined at the hotel for breakfast on the first morning however the food didn't look very inviting at all. Otherwise great hotel.

“OK”

We arrived a bit late, driving from Edmonton. The room was small, bathroom small & nothing very special. The price seems quite high for what you get. Breakfast was mostly pre-cooked cold stuff. It seems this is mostly a compound of houses, with several new ones being built. The hotel business seems like something on the side.

“Not Impressed”

We were in the Miette building. We could hear the people behind us and next door talking, showering, blow drying their hair, it was not quiet at all. We found it difficult to sleep due to the noise from the neighbors and also from the highway. The room was stuffy and hot. It was not a relaxing time. The food was great but be prepared spend alot for a meal.

“Mosquitos in plauge numbers in both cabins”

This Lodge is 45 to 50 minutes beyond the town of Jasper so the location is poor in that regard. The cabin rooms we had are upgraded as shown in the photos, however one of the two we rented had a very stong musty odor. But the worst of it was that these cabins have no screen doors and the mosquitos were all over the cabin interior. We had two cabins and we spent hours killing mosquitos, only to be awakened at 3:30a.m.by the sound of mosquitos being killed in the cabin next to us. (banging on wall - went on for an hour) A very short distance down the road from our cabins were houses in various stages of upgrading and older run down houses. The ambiance was ruined by that - I would never stay here again. We were up almost all night. I really should have left and gone 15 minutes further to Hinton and stayed a a motel there. The kids didn't want me to waste the money, so we stayed. We did not ask to change rooms - it was already 11 p.m.
