“Nice hotel!”
Cost vs. quality is excellent. Breakfast buffet was fine. Restaurant was good but expensive!
“Relaxing and Beautiful”
The hotel itself is lovely and the pool is a very relaxing and welcome place. The location is midway between the city and Amber Fort so some transport is required. Only complaint is that the restaurant lacks any atmosphere but the food was of a reasonable standard.
“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel staff was extremely courteous and attentive to our every need. I was a bit taken aback by the extreme security measures when I first drove in to the hotel, but given recent terrorist activities at hotels in india, it made perfect sense. This hotel is in an ideal location overlooking Mansagar lake. It is also very neat and appealing. BTW, Don't miss out on the buffet breakfast.
“Great base for a visit to Jaipur”
Wonderful hotel, with impeccable service. Very comfortable and spotless rooms. The restaurant has good food and great service. Fantastic location a little out of town, providing an oasis from the delightful "chaos" of Jaipur, also close for visiting the wonderful Amber palace and Jaigarh fort. So good we came back for another night! Airport pick up organised by hotel worked very well. Heartily recommended.
“Top notch service”
The Trident is a fantastic hotel to stay with in Jaipur. From the moment you step out of your car to the moment you leave the staff are very attentive, warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spacious and we had our room serviced twice daily. The restaurant and drink prices are typically pricier than non-hotel choices. It is further out from the old city but this is not an issue due to cheap transport options (the Trident has a small group of rickshaw and taxi drivers outside the Hotel gates who are very reliable and trustworthy) and it is nice to get out of the bustling city and into a more quieter part of town. Pool area is lovely. Note - if you book a 'lakefront' view room you may not get one due to overgrown vegetation (however we asked to change and they happily accommodated us).
“Smaller hotel feel with all required features”
Liked the hotel a lot. Very good food, well trained staff, good room and has large garden and a pool. Very good refuge to relax after a day in the hussle of Jaipur. Had room facing road across the garden which gave a beautiful view of lake with an old palace in the center. Location is 20 minutes north of Old City on the road to Amber Fort. Short walk toward Jaipur to small misc shops and alternate restaurant. Can order taxi or take 3-wheel "auto" (auto costs INR 60-100).
“Great location. Great value.”
Stayed at the Trident for two nights, and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is close to Amber fort and right outside the picturesque Jal Mahal, which makes for a wonderful view with mountains in the background. The main market and Hawa Mahal are also within 10 minutes. The staff was nice and courteous. The rooms not too huge, but comfortable and well equipped. Food at the restaurant was pretty good, and not too heavy like many other places. My one year son enjoyed himself throwing cutlery around, and creating a lot of mess around the dinner table, but the staff didnt raise any objections and/or eyebrows. We didnt do any sightseeing so cant comment on proximity to the other popular attractions. And they had a great kids' room with plenty of toys, even a playstation. They also setup a splash pool for the little one. Also a badminton court, basketball hoops, and a regulation pool. Overall, quite satisfied with our stay, and would happily recommend the hotel to others.
“Jaipur trip”
Slow check in and check out process. Limited options for dining and quality of food was average.
“Great location”
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights during July 2011. The hotel is very conveniently located opposite Jal Mahal and all the Jaipur forts are nearby. However, we found the food to be of average quality considering the price that they charged. The Good: - Great location - Excellent car cleaning service which is reasonably priced. - Amazing view from the lake view rooms. The Bad: - Had to open room windows once a day to let some fresh air in. It used to feel stale inside (probably due to humidity) - Food is average (and not many alternative eating options nearby)
“bon hotel a jaipur”
