“I'll be going back next year hoping to see our divine host, Rolf. Great man.”
At first, i was a bit apprehensive about my visit to Jaco, Costa Rica. However, my traveling companions and I found that the best kept secret gem of a hotel was indeed the Blue Palm. Our host/owner, Rolf, was more than outstanding. He became an instant friend. He went over and above all expectations to make our stay as pleasant and activity filled as possible. I completely admire his attitude towards his guests. His comfortable accommodations are located just off the beaten path and offer quiet nights and tranquil days. A five minute walk will put you on the beach where the madness and beauty of the Pacific ocean will astound you. I highly recommend this hotel not only for it's hospitality, but also for the fact that it's enjoyability is certainly on the increase. And that is the truth.
“Great deal”
Best deal in Jaco! Perfect stay a little off the main drag, quiet and the pool kept the kids busy after the beach. There is a great taco bar near and a many markets, air conditioning a big plus. I would recomend this hotel to anyone traveling in Jaco, pura vida

“OK Hotel for the price”
The hotel was a few minutes walk to downtown Jaco and the beach so it was great that we didn't need a cab. (Although Jaco isn't very big to begin with). I was not impressed with the hotel but for the price it was ok. It was clean and had a small tv which I never used since I was always out. My main issue was that it did not have hot water, however I did not realize I had to ask if the hotel had hot water and I just assumed it did. But it did have air conditioning.
“OK for a stopover on the way to somewhere else”
On the plus side, the room was clean and the bathroom modern and spotless. However, the room was very bland and had no window just French doors looking straight out at the cars and some scrubby ground. The aircon unit was ridiculously loud so it had to be turned off at night. The pool was also clean but had no view and wasn't very relaxing. The owner was very helpful and made a real effort to sort out a trip for us.

worst hotel i ever saw. i took a shower with my shoes on and slept with my clothes on .
