4 Star Hotel

Posted 12-Jan-2015
Pros: Most everything. Excellent rooms. Comfortable beds. American Grill excellent food.
Cons: Self parking shouldn't cost $10.00 a night. Need complimentary coffee other than Starbucks that opens at 6:30am in morning
Location: Location good for anything Downtown Jax
Enjoyed my stay at the Crown Plaza. Great location for anything downtown. We were working on a commercial job downtown and every evening came back to a clean room and comfortable bed.

Cons: Service toilets
Toilet ran over every time we flushed it. There was soap paper left in the shower drain from the people before us. We were only there for 8 hrs.

Beautiful inside and out!

Posted 7-Jan-2015
Pros: Clean, comfy and beautiful. Hotel staff was also so professional and sweet.
The hotel was beautiful, clean and accommodating. I really wanted a river view so the front desk upgraded my room. My view looked right over the jacksonville river and was beyond beautiful, we had a balcony overlooking the pool as well..

Hoping to visit in comfort but it was not to be.

Posted 5-Jan-2015
Pros: It was within walking distance to the riverfront area, across the bridge. Seemed to be easy access even if the area was very commercial and touristy.
Cons: Staff, cleanliness and it needs an update bad!
Location: Not my first choice for a future trip. Not much to do. However we did discover the College area which seemed to be a little more eclectic.
Carpet in room peeling up, bathroom tub stained and tub hardware exposed. Toilet dirty, room smelled. Initial greeting was less then welcoming. I did not like the fact that some parking spots were not charged for yet my parking below the hotel was an immediate $10. Overall, the hotel felt really old and closed. Staff did not seem happy or welcoming. There were no common spaces to enjoy either. I would not stay there again.

Staff was friendly. Hotel under renovation. Room was a fair size but the bathroom was extremely small.

Good downtown location

Posted 4-Jan-2015
Access to Jacksonville Landing difficult due to bridge work. The walk was further than expected. Biggest headache- room keys didn't work constantly. Best part - courtesy of staff. LaToya, Fred, Carthel, Shannon and another whose name I can't recall (sorry!); each were awesome. Bad situation occurred- power went out on our last night; it was handled professionally and appropriate. Kudos to the team!

Fräscht hotell, Trevlig personal..

Posted 29-Dec-2014

The stay was ok, but not worth $245!

Posted 6-Dec-2014
When I first arrived, the front desk lady accidentally checked in another person under my name (she never checked ID). The manager handled it in a timely manner. The room wasn't the prettiest, It looked a little run down. The view was definitely beautiful, overlooking the river. Overall, it was ok, I wouldn't stay there for a romantic weekend. I paid $245 for 1 night, definitely not worth that amount.
