( ) The hotel position is good, food is good. (-) The hotel crew needs a lot of training, they are not picking their words carefully, in my opinion, due to the lack of training! I speak their local language as well. I heard them talking to tourists from the EU states in English. They sound very strange when talking to guests in Turkish and English.

The property and accommodations are nice. However, everything from dinner to spa services to their bar was extremely expensive (dinner buffet for 1 was about $30 - and doesn’t even include soft drinks).

The area around this hotel is actually quite nice however it is a property which is run down. It urgently needs a renovation. The rooms are old and dirty. The cleaning is almost non existing. I have questions about the shower for instance being hygienic. I stayed for three days and the carpet was never vacuum cleaned. The window glasses of the room are so dirty you hardly can see the landscape outside. In total it's definitely not worth the money.

Ikbal thermal hotel
It was an amazing hotel, with the shopping centre right next to the hotel. Bathrooms need an upgrade, but not bad at all. Breakfast was lovely. Central cooling was not working, but left window open. Lovely garden and play area for kids.

Very nice stay close to the city center of İzmir.
The location and the layout of the hotel was amazing. Situated very close to the city center, yet surrounded by trees and spectacular hills, the hotel impressed us pretty much.

I love Kaya Izmir, always stay there when I visit Izmir, the hotel is magnificent, the staff are super nice & helpful, it’s managed perfectly, services specially the spa is wonderful, food is delicious, rooms are beautiful and super clean.

Highly recommend spa treatments
Booked because of the thermal spa. Some parts looked tired and in need of an upgrade. The thermal jacuzzi was gorgeous. Also had a Turkish bath and massage treatments which were excellent. Prices are in TL and not euro’s which was also preferred. The two bedroom room was so spacious and comfortable and the included breakfast fresh with lots of options. The hotel was also very accommodating with a free of charge late checkout. One note of caution to check your bill before settling. Incorrect mini bar charges were quickly removed when queried. Enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Nice stay
Great location and hotel that can offer a lot if staff are more smile and learn English. It is hotel so they need to know basic, not to turn away as soon as you start talking. Great facilities, food was amazing, spa also great but the staff also need to pick the game as no one speaks English. We get in the room and there was no sign about the bar and the prices of the products. No one explains nothing at the beginning. We had deluxe room and were thinking is included but at the end we payd 60 euro for rew drinks and nuts from the bar. Not a problem to pay but they should advise me at the beginning.

A bad memory of trusting the stars of a hotel
Imagine arriving at a hotel on a hot summer day two hours after this normal check-in time (4pm, room delivery time is 2pm), but you have to wait about two hours for room delivery. Twice during this time you ask the hotel staff for tea and disinfectant, but your order is not taken seriously. I paid for three adults, but I was given a double room with an extra bed, but all the facilities (including towels, etc.) were for two people. I asked to clean the room, but it was ignored! The hotel facilities are great, but not the staff! Sorry it was not a good experience for me and my family! Do not repeat my mistake, the facilities of a complex along with the good attitude of its staff are useful.

A relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Very welcoming and helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant. Good level of security and hygiene on view. Nice reception area and ala-carte restaurant with a wide choice on the menu. Breakfast very good indeed. Light, bright and comfortable room. Nice thermal pools indoors and outdoors, saunas and jacuzzi. A most enjoyable stay. A little grubby around the edges in many of the floor areas about the hotel. Will definitely go back again.

The hotel was clean. We had a problem with our fridge and they changed it right away. Stuff are really nice. They make you feel so comfortable and always ask if you need anything. Me and my friend booked the special spa room during the day. It is little bit pricy but it is absolutely worth it.

let us start at the check in, good friendly girl at reception, Internet did not work for the first 4 hours and then it did not work for one day. the a la carte restaurant, the food is well below average, service pretty bad. breakfeast, good choice and friendly staff, no decaf coffee, for a 5 star hotel, well disappointing. the thermal spa and pools in averga condition, definetely in need of some renovation, still that side of it we enjoyed. conclusion, for a short stay, ok, but nothing special Dr. Nobrega

Wonderful hotel but in the 11 years I am intensively traveling abroad I did not have so much communication problems because of the lack of English of the staff. I mean, cal 6 times before they understand you need your laundry picked up... and that 3 waiters came 4 times just because they did not understand I wanted one water, one whisky and one coke... so basic, I was so frustrated in the end I did not want anything to drink anymore. So resuming, if you have a lot of patience and want a good spa in a clean hotel this is the place… but if you expect a good service it will be difficult...

Wonderful hotel but I had several problems with laundry and drinks because the staff speaks extremely bad English. I mean... Call 6 times to have laundry picked up.. or that they not understand I need one water, one whisky and one coke (3 waiters!)... Those basic things they should now at least. If you are very patient: go enjoy this clean beautiful hotel with good food and great spa. If you are not the patient type: do yourself a favour and look for a more international hotel.

Huge Hotel
The hotel is very large and the guests are predominately Turkish, most of the staff speak English, and very helpful. The foyer is grand, the fitness centre is quite large and is the old type traditional gym with a lot of treadmills and ellipticals, unfortunately there are no kettlebells, no stand alone squat rack and the rower is not concept 2, but a wooden type rower, opening hours are from 7.30am until midnight and you have to press the button for someone to let you in. The pools are pretty fabulous and the jacuzzi is quite large and quite hot. I found the rooms to be a little tired and could do with a really good clean, the fridges are small and they hardly cool down enough because they are fully enclosed in a cupboard. There is plenty of parking. The buffet breakfast is pretty good and they change somethings everyday, their coffee machine isn’t great but the cay is good. Location is good, value for money isn’t there and I probably would not stay again.
