“GREAT HOTEL FOR THE MOST PART”
gREAT LOCATION AND WONDERFUL STAFF! oNLY PROBLEM IS THEY HAD A MEXICAN WEDDING AND THE HOTEL WAS OVER RUN WITH SLOPPY RUDE GUESTS WHO TOOK OVER THE POOL,MADE HUGE MESSES AND DIDN'T CONTROL SMALL KIDS. nOT TIPICAL THOUGH. tHANK GOODNESS.

First time to Ixtapa and we had a WONDERFUL experience...we will be back to this resort. The customer services was amazing...they always helped us whenever we needed it. Just a few things...make sure you book the Ocean View room..for a few bucks more you get a beautiful view, newly renovated room and a electronic safe. Our first night was the mountain view and we did not enjoy. Room was dingy and dark and these rooms have the old safes with keys that you have to carry with you ( i hated that part!) All in all the ocean view rooms were very modern and up-to-date. Bright paint, tiles, new linens etc.. They do have a gym there that is free to use but not the greatest equipment. A few weights and 2 bikes.. Foyer area is beautful - open concept allows you to constantly overlook the ocean. Resort is absolutley amazing...clean clean clean! Only one downside - the hot tub was never working properly. It was either never filled full, not hot enough or out of order. The swimming pool however was great... Highly recommend to not do all inclusive. There are AMAZING restaurants (and super cheap!!) across the street in the markets. We never once ate at the hotel. There were so many choices to choose from ( authentic mexican, italian, american, seafood)..etc. Hotel is in a great location ( bus stop directly out front and lots of shops)
“Great value - great place - great service”
We were very satisfied with this hotel - it's location is great - we can not comment on food or drinks as we did not use their food facilities as there are many around Zihuatanejo to have local food. We had a great meal at RINCON MARINO in Zihuatanejo - take the bus and get off before the Bodega supermarket. (ask hotel for direccions) In Ixtapa we had supper at Casa Morelos - great place to dine. Mamma Norma & Deborah have simple food and 2x1 beer during the day. Great for lunch.
“January Getaway”
This was our first stay in Ixtapa and our first stay at the Hotel Emporio. We were very impressed with both. The hotel was very clean, the junior suite that we had was very spacious and comfortable and the beach area and pool were very nice. The staff was very courteous and helpful. There was only one restaurant open, the buffet, due to the time of year and we found the food delicious with lots of variety. If you tend to eat everything on the buffet everyday then you mind find it to get repititous. There are however, lots of restaurants right across the street . If you are looking for a place in January to go to relax and be on island time (not expecting to be waited on hand and foot every 5 minutes) then I would recommend the Hotel Emporio. The workout room is small but the beach is about 2 miles long so you can get a good 4 mile walk or run in on the beach or there is a bike/walking path right outside the hotel that goes around the marina and golf course. The hotel was not overly crowded at this time so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to put towels on chairs to reserve them although many guests did or to stand in line at the restaurant to get a table. We will return.
“Second Time at the Hotel”
This is the second time we stayed at the hotel. It was only 20% occupied due to the rainy season. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The service was impeccable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was extremely clean and the management was very plesant and helpful.

Maybe because it was low season but everybody was extremely nice, the food at the restaurant was good and not overly prized. Very clean place even the beach.
“Had a great experience”
The hotel was great and beautifully positioned on the beach . The staff were helpful and attentive and the majority could speak english. We would recommend it other holiday makers
“Most for your money!!!”
The Emporio Ixtapa was a great place to stay, in a great location, with a great price! The pool is just steps from the ocean, and the hotel is just steps from many places to eat, drink, and shop. If I return to Ixtapa, I will definitely stay at the Emporio.
