“Excellent hotel, all in all.”
Had a slight problem when check-in as to what European Plan means, to us that means Coffee, Juice, Cruisons etc.. to the hotel that meant no breakfast, this was sorted out the following Monday, they allowed us to have breakfast "Complementary" of the hotel. On Monday all was sorted out to our advantage. On Saturdays and Sundays, the hotel is opened to the locals and is FULL with CHILDREN in the pool, come Monday the atmosphere goes back to normal, i.e . calm. The music was always very loud and we finally had to speak to the manager, again all was corrected. Definetely recommend this hotel for its location as well as the Excellent service they provide.

Really enjoyed my stayed at this hotel, the food was delicious, the activities were fun and the people really friendly.
“Good Place at a Good Price”
I just want to recognize an employee named Leslie. She was extremely courteous and helpful through out my stay at the Fontan Hotel. She works at the reception and I appreciated all the ways in which she helped me. For instance, she offered me her personal laptop for me to use since there is no computer room at the hotel. With this action she went the extra mile on customer service!!! Thank you much!
“Very good value”
Ixtapa's beach is lovely, the area is beautiful, and the hotel Fontán was an exceptional value for an all-inclusive. No one bothered us in the lobby about time-shares, either. Regretfully, we were only there 2 nights. We would definitely return here again if we return to Ixtapa. We had room 405 which was very quiet.
“Great Service!”
The service was GREAT! The hotel is not very big but the people there are very friendly. The meals are really good! I liked that there was a bar by the poolside too. The hotel is very clean and they also have activities everyday. I would really recommend this hotel. I had a lot of fun.
“This hotel is best for family stays.”
This hotel had fairly good food and wonderful entertainment in the evening. We were there with another couple and because of the many families booking the hotel it was hard to find seating at the pool or beach. Also, the music was pretty loud around the pool area. I think if I had had my grandchildren along I would have had a more favorable impression. The dining staff were exceptional!

“Good enough Hotel--but only if you get a good price”
Clearly the most dated of the hotels on Ixtapa beach, the Fontan is satisfactory if you just want a place on the beach at a budget price. Can be noisy. And you must be aggressive to obtain a balcony with a beach view (many of the rooms have no balcony and/or no beach view).
