Families can appreciate the Dorado's Kids' Club (ages 4–12) with a children's pool, games, and supervised activities; during high season, a separate kids' restaurant is available (surcharges may apply).
Activities for adults at Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa take place around the main pool, which includes two water slides. An on-site massage center provides various treatments.
The hotel offers four restaurants and two stand-alone bars. Room service is available from early morning until late evening.

La Cascada Cafe - Sunlit café with views of ocean and pool area. Indoor/outdoor seating. Serves a buffet breakfast and à la carte lunch and dinner. Open from early morning until late evening.
Coco-La Palm Restaurant - Poolside open-air restaurant with full bar. Serves regional and international cuisine at lunch and dinnertime. Live music nightly. Open from noon until midnight.
Le Cebolla Roja Grill - Romantic open-air dining by the beach. Ideal for sunset dining. Serves international menu of seafood, meat, and poultry for dinner only.
Da Guissepe Restaurant - Open-air Italian restaurant at front of hotel, by the main road. Open only in high season; serves dinner only.
Sun-set Snack Bar - Snacks and drinks until the sun goes down. Outdoor seating only. Open from late morning until early evening.
Galeria Piano Bar - Lobby bar with live piano music in the evenings. Daily happy hour from 6 PM to 8 PM. Drinks only. Open from early evening until midnight.
Room Service - Available from early morning until late evening.
Recreation
Two lighted hard-surface tennis courts are located on the property. A tennis pro is available for private lessons; the hotel also rents racquets and balls. Activities at the main pool include water volleyball, team games, and bingo. A playground and children's pool provide safe areas for kids.
Beach concessions provide snorkeling, parasailing, and windsurfing equipment. There are two par-72, 18-hole golf courses within a 5-minute drive of the Dorado Pacifico. The Ixtapa Marina, home to a variety of charters, water sport concessions, is also less than a five-minute drive away.

“Great Time! We had a blast!”
Overall hotel was great, the individual rooms were somewhat substandard compared to the rest of the hotel. Excellent staff and crew. Enjoyed the stay!
“Great location, Great value, Great pool!”
This is the third time we have stayed at the Dorado Pacifico. This time they upgraded us to the junior suite and it had a fantastic view nice big room. We love the location and the pool is fantastic. We think this is a great hotel, reasonably priced. Great service, too! Buffet breakfast is great, the food in the restaurant is just ok. Would definately stay there again!

“A GREAT PLACE TO VACATION.”
THIS IS A VERY NICE VACATION SPOT. THE HOTEL STAFF ARE VERY NICE AND THE HOTEL IS KEPT SPOTLESS. THE OCEAN VIEW IS AWESOME. THE FOOD IS PRICEY. I WOULD SUGGEST GOING ACROSS THE STREET TO THE "CHILE BEAN's" RESTAURANT. VERY GOOD FOOD AND CHEAP PRICES...ENJOY !
“Great Hotel, We'll be back!!”
The check in was fast and easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At check in make sure everything is explained to you. We missed out on a daily credit allowed at the bars and restaraunts within the hotel. We were told about this at check out and were told the information was in the envelope that was given to us at check in, but there was no information in our envelope. We stayed 7 nights and the room was great. The first few days the room was made up very well but as the week went on the quality of the cleaning and service within the room dwindled. The king size bed was very comfortable and was turned down for us every night. The pool area was very clean at all times. The only problem at times was getting into the pool, many families would sit on or near the steps to get into the pool making it difficult to access and exit, but other than that it was good. We did not have meals at the hotel so we can not comment on the food. The drinks seemed a little expensive, but guess that is what the credit was meant to offset if we knew about it.

This was one of the best hotel experiences that I have ever had. The staff was great, the hotel was clean and it was beautiful also. The breakfast buffet was wonderful--I ate too much! I will definately return to this hotel.

The food & drinks were good. Lots of restaurants & shops across the street in the mall zone. Ixtapa Island was lots of fun, snorkling, excellent drinks in the hammocks.
“Best Hotel in Ixtapa”
The service and the staff at this hotel are exceptional! This was our 15th visit and we always are extremely satisfied.
“Home away from Home!”
In ten trips to Ixtapa, I have yet to find a negative thing to say about the Dorado. Ricardo, the front desk manager, will bend over backwards, to make your stay what you wish it to be. For the best views in the area, upgrade to the Jr. Suite.
“Very enjoyable and relaxing”
The Dorado Pacifico has everything a traveler needs. It is centrally located, the staff is wonderful, there are activities for those who wish to partake, and enough lounge time for all.
