“We'd return in a heartbeat !”
Club Intrawest was terrific ! It was clean, the staff friendly and very helpful, and the food was great. Prices while a little higher were consistent with the surroundings. Great location for just kicking back and enjoying the Zihautanejo charm. Our room was huge ! It had everything we needed and was refreshed each day after we were out and about. The 2 bathrooms, dip pool, kitchenette, 2 hammocks, and view were enough to keep us at our room late into the morning, before heading down the the wonderful beach. Good food, good service, good snorkeling right in front of the club. If there were a drawback it might be the steep hillside setting and walking to the beach and back - fortunately they had golf cart shuttles to run you around the steep walks. A truly wonderful place to spend a vacation.
“a true five star family friendly resort”
We were looking for a place that could accomodate our whole family (2 adults and 3 kids). This place was perfect. the 2 bedroom condo fit all of us easily and the living room had a pull out couchbed to boot. The hotel was extreamly nice and kid friendly and it was easy to enjoy it either relaxing as an adult or playing with kids. Unlike a lot of pacific resorts the beach here is well protected by the bay and while there were some waves i was very comfortable letting the kids hang out in the water to jump waves or boogie board. (they have a nice spa service on the beach as well) two pools connected by the bar allowed for an adult pool with a swimup bar and a fullsize pool for families and their kids too. The restaurant was great;a shade expensive but 'zihuat' is just down the hill and theres a ton to see there beit shops, restaurants or just the culture in general. outside the hotel the 'neiborhood' was very safe easy to go for a long run, walk to another hotel, go into town etc...The hotel also had knowledge of lots of different daytrips (hiking, boating, golf, mountainbiking, surfing etc...) and everyone at the hotel was friendly and outgoing. the best family friendly true five star resort i have been to. the trip was great.
“Unforgettable luxury, breathtaking views and exceptional service”
Any time spent at Club Intrawest Zihuatanejo will make an unforgettable impression on even the most experienced luxury travelers. The suites are generous in size, are beautifully decorated and have exquisite detail down to the hand laid tile and stone floors. The food at the resort's restaurant was consistently top quality, with fresh fish and local plates typical of the area, and somehow they've managed to perfect an amazing cheeseburger for those moments when nothing else will do. Club Intrawest's beach is one of the best in the area, with gentle waves and almost no undertoe compared to Ixtapa beaches. The resort's unbelivable views and beautiful beach are only matched by the exceptional service displayed by the hotel staff. The resort is truly a gem, offering old world charm with every convenience and luxury of today.
“Beautiful hotel”
Our hotel room was wonderful. The staff of the hotel was extreamly helpful & friendly and the food was to die for!
“A wonderful place to stay”
My 3 young kids and I loved this hotel. The location is lovely and only a $4-5 taxi ride into town. There is a lot of trekking up very steep hills or loads of stairs to get to and from pool/beach area. Therefore, if you've just had knee replacement surgery or are a smoker, this may not be the place for you. The staff is very friendly and kind to kids.
“Best Views on the Beach!”
Beautiful architecture with palapa roofs and exposed camaru wood gives the hotel a wonderful tropical and relaxing atmosphere. Almost every well designed room has a glorious view of Playa la Ropa. The well landscaped grounds have two infinity pools and a poolside bar surrounded by attractive wooden beach furniture and hammocks set aside over a sandy area. Although the beach is accessed immediately through a secured gate, there seems little reason to leave the hotel. The "Zi" bar perched atop the hotel is a winner for watching sunsets. Hotel personnel via golf carts is always available for transport around the grounds.
“Can't wait to go back”
Can't wait to go back - one of the best resorts where I've been!
“Intrawest - Zihuantenejo”
A very picturesque property, attentive staff and very clean.
“Relax relax”
We loved it, right at the beach, with a view, food if you want to stay, easy to walk to town if you wanted too. Small swimming pool but worked very well that is another one for fam with kids, the one with the bar for adults with out jumping kids around you. Is not a handy cap or injured person frindly they are a lot of stairs, we liked it, we tooked walking on the stairs like our mandatory work out, after lying under the sun all morning. Great air conditioned units, not noisy. We moved from the super upscale hotel Tides because of the nosy air-conditioner. The staff very friendly, they are ther when you need them only, no pressure. Loved Zihuatanejo. We are coming back. Not the commun hotel strip.
“Great vacaion”
Perfect location and great room with fantastic outdoor space.

Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico: On the Pacific Coast of Guerrero, Mexico, the city of Zihuatanejo has worked hard to retain its village look and feel. Many downtown streets are still paved with cobblestones, and zoning laws prohibit buildings over 4 stories. A brick-paved beachfront promenade runs along Playa La Madera and Playa Principal to the pier, and all beaches along the bay are safe for swimming.
