The location and the staff is what gives this hotel 4 stars, otherwise it would have been easily a three. The location is central and short walking minutes from all activities in the Fatih area. The staff were amazing, Alp, Farouk, Emre, Zeynap and the cleaning lady, all amazing and helped make our stay pleasant. Would I come back? I don’t think so. The facility needs a serious facelift to attract tourist and not worth the $240 a night!

Amazing location! Nice room for 3, no frills, fun spread for breakfast, but best of all is astonishing view on the terrace which was so cool to grab some beers from a package store after touring all day! Super nice staff too!

Great hotel to stay in, the location was excellent and extremely close to all of the main tourist attractions (walking distance). The room itself was comfortable and the staff were lovely; they would help call taxis, and recommend places to eat. I was kindly upgraded to a bigger room during my stay which was very nice of the staff. My only negatives would be that the phone in my room didn’t work so i wasn’t able to use room service, i used the laundry service but the clothes came back damp (external service the hotel offers) and if you were to stay here i highly recommend you don’t eat in the surrounding area as meals were costing us double what we were paying slightly further out

Great Hotel - good value for money
Amazing stay in an amazing city. Tan hotel has a top location, near all the places to be visited in Istambul. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice. Service is very professional and friendly. Restaurants and shops just around the corner. rooms are very spacious and comfortable although bathrooms could be more modern.

Very old and small hotel, no one helped to get the luggage to the room, lift is too small hardly fit 2 people and 2 bags. I wouldn't book it again. Room was cleaned but very small for a family of four...it was meant to a family room but it wasn't.

We were three generations of travelers and the room was set up with 3 beds not an added cot. The staff was very helpful in providing directions to nearby sights. They even walked us to the cafe they suggested around the corner. Topkapi, the Blue Mosque and Haiga Sofia were only a short walk. The tram was only one block away.

HI My Name is Amir, i recently stayed at the Tan Hotel and i got to say the place is amazing the customer service is on point best hotel so far i have visited i was well impressed! Everything is local access to the tram lines and local shop the area is safe with many food places around and shopping, but overall the staff at the hotel amazed me great customer service!!!

The hotel exceeded beyond our expectations. The staff were amazing and very helpful in ensuring comfort during our stay. Tan Hotel is located in a prime spot within Sultanahmet with plenty to do. This is definitely the hotel to book if you’re staying in that area. Will book again!

The property is in very good location. A lot of places are within walking distance. However it is quite a noisy location, bathrooms could do with updating, cleaning could be a bit more thorough small hairs found in bath. Based on reviews and photos we were expecting quite a boutique sort of place. However its about an average or below average type of hotel. Staff sometimes can seem a bit stand offish. Part of expedia gold never got any benefits/upgrades despite mentioning at reception desk when checking in. Its not a bad place but manage your expectation a lot of great reviews can be misleading.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Tan Hotel, the staff & service was excellent, Thank You for helping me during the snow storm! You are Amazing! Ill be back again! The hotel is in an excellent location, right at the heart of Blue Mosque/Hagia Sophia (5 min walk) & a few meters away from Sultanahamet Tram station.

The location was perfect as it was walking distance to many attractions including both the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The hotel itself is at the corner of multiple intersections with restaurants all around. Grand bazaar was also under a 10 minute walk away. The staff was helpful when we approached and asked for help. Other than that, they leave you alone. Breakfast at the hotel was a small buffet, mostly selection of assorted cheese and fruit. Some places outdoor offer omelettes, but overall selection is limited for breakfast in the area.
