Hotel staff do know what Customer Service means!Posted 14-Jan-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, customer service
Cons: More diversity in breakfast offerings
Location: Close to the main sights in Sultanahmet.
Full disclosure: this is the very first review I write and I took the time to do it because this hotel and its staff are just superb. Well located hotel (Blue Mosque is a 5-minute walk), very clean, the breakfast bar offered delicious local food options and the room décor is just magnificent. The welcome gift added positive points to our stay. Mert, the General Manager, welcomed us on day one and made us feel right at home. Every request we had he had it covered with the utmost professional courtesy. Congratulations for this hidden jewel in Sultanahmet!

Really helpful and friendly staff!Posted 23-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our 4 nights stay in this hotel thanks, mostly, to the very kind and friendly staff. The manager Mert always has a smile on his face and makes you feel at home. As he said, "in this hotel we are all just a big family". The rest of the staff we met were also very friendly: the talkative night receptionist, the nice girl taking care of the breakfast (she cooks eggs to order in the morning) and the jolly housekeeper. The rooms, although small, are nicely decorated in traditional Turkish style (gold, red and glitter). Just to mention a couple of things that they could improve, I think they could add more light in the bathroom and some more TV channels in English; and maybe get rid of the funny looking collection of vinyls they have on display downstairs (there might be a reason for it to be there, but it doesn't match the decor at all -just a personal opinion-). Bear in mind that the hotel is located in some kind of backstreet and, although it's safe and near the main attractions, looks a little scruffy and can be hard to find at first. All in all, we were very happy we picked this hotel. Sure there are bigger and more modern hotels in Istanbul, but I doubt any hotel would have a team as pleasant and helpful as this one. Highly recommended!!

Geat placePosted 20-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
A decent small sized hotel. The room we were in was pretty compact but it was well serviced. The shower, Internet and breakfast were excellent. The young Manager, Mert was ever so helpful. The Ottoman decor with its over the bed mirror contributed to the hotel ambience. The 10 minute trek to the Blue Mosque and the surrounding areas was manageable despite the hilly terrain. The hotel is on a quiet alleyway so was very quiet at night for a good night sleep. The area was very safe. Worth the stay and keep this hotel on your list.

a miniture Dolmabache PalacePosted 14-Jun-2013
Pros: Location and great staff
Location: Great location. Five minute walk from Blue Mosque, tram, restaurants etc.
Love this hotel, it deserves all the praise it receives from its guests. The staff are wonderful! They speak good English too and are so friendly and helpful it really ensured we had a great time in Istanbul. I'm going back en route to the UK and will definitely stay there again. The location is perfect for seeing the sights but is quiet enough for a good nights sleep. I loved the room decor, really opulent. Breakfast was better than most Turkish hotels and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. I highlyrecommend staying here.

Happy to stayPosted 1-Sep-2012
I spent 13 days over there where I would advise this hotel for couples who are going on tourism. Wonderful staff always at time of need. One bad point which is instinct I found it in my room twice which means cleaning is not totally perfect. But in total it is amazing hotel and I ll staying there again next year hope so.

A nice week spent in a nice hotelPosted 19-Jun-2012
The staff were very friendly. The hotel is clean and quiet. It is close to all the main places that visitors would want to see. The main complaint that I have is the size of the room. The room was very small and it was the standard room and not economy room. A minor complaint is that once you leave your room, all the power is turned off including the cooling fridge which meant that we could not buy anything cold from the room. I would recommend this place to anyone.

a place to discover in the old city of IstanbulPosted 13-Mar-2012
We were only able to stay one night as we were on a quick business trip. It`s a nice,brand-new hotel, very close to the heart of old city of Istanbul. The location is great, you can reach Blue Mosque just in five minutes,if you`re willing to discover the old city and all historical places in Istanbul, that`s the place you should stay in! The staff was very helpful and kind, they do everything to make you happy and pleased! The only problem is the heating,my fiance is always cold,he found the room cold and we weren`t happy with the airconditioning but apart from heating problem,we will absolutely go and stay there in summer or spring!!! Thank you, keep up the good work :))
