Wonderful stay in IstanbulPosted 19-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
We had an issue with the air conditioning but it was fixed by the next day. One evening was noisy in the area but it may have been due to having a room at the front. The breakfast is outstanding and the front desk staff very helpful.

great service, close to the sightsPosted 14-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Sultan Tughra was the first hotel we stayed in during our honeymoon in Turkey this spring. We arrived very early and we were offered breakfast, access to a computer and a place to leave our bags while our room was being cleaned. When we asked for a room that was a touch bigger, we were upgraded as soon as one was available at no extra cost. The staff was always lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great location and wonderful servicePosted 7-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Location is great (a few minutes walk from Sultanahmet tram station) and service is wonderful. Room was very comfortable although I would ask for upper level next time.

Great staff, comfortable, convenient, quietPosted 12-Apr-2014
Pros: Overall the hotel is a good blend of traditional style and modern facilities. Very pleasant breakfast room.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Good, reasonably priced fish restaurant almost opposite. Short walk to Blue Mosque, Aghia Sohia, Topkapi Palace and sea front. Tram 5 mins. walk.
Mert is the most helpful hotel manager I've ever met - always on hand, offering complementary teas and drinks, full of info, nothing too much trouble - and Azize does lovely breakfasts, with different treats every day. The hotel is very handy for Sultanahmet (the old city) but being on a narrow side street, very quiet (tip - if arriving by taxi , have the phone number handy - the driver may not know the street or hotel, as its small and new). The rooms are not that big, but who goes to Istanbul to stay in a hotel room? - and the shower was very spacious and bathroom well-equipped. Large, comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed inPosted 27-Mar-2014
Location: Too many to list - they all near by........great pity was, we left the camera at home!
We stayed for five nights in this fantastic hotel. I simply cannot fault it. The staff could not be more helpful. The décor of the rooms was way, way above anything we have ever experienced. We were lucky to have our room upgraded (it was our wedding anniversary), but quite honestly we would have been happy in any of the rooms. The breakfasts were absolutely excellent for a small hotel - for any hotel for that matter. It was near enough to all the tourist attractions, with just a few minute's walk, and the manager was happy to give advice about places to see (and not see). All in all one of our most enjoyable holidays

Great hotel, with a lot of characterPosted 9-Mar-2014
We had a really great stay at the Sultan Tughra - it's a lovely hotel, ideally situated a few minutes walk from all the tourist sights around Sultanhamet. The decor is really special, and the personal attention paid by the staff was a really nice change from big chain hotels. The check-in/out times are actually much more flexible than advertised - as our room was available, we were allowed to check in early and check out late. The breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed hot drinks being available 24/7, as well as the offer of a glass of Turkish wine one evening. We'd happily stay here again.

Very good hotel, close to sightsPosted 11-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
There were many rave reviews of this hotel so I had high expectations. The atmosphere of the hotel is nice and the fact that it was once a mansion adds to the character. I was in the first floor room. It was a low corner room and I could here everything outside. The room was very small, but this was expected. There were a few details that could have been better maintained but overall I felt it was a good value. The staff was very accommodating. The location was good. The street the hotel is on is very small and did not seem very desirable. But about one block over is a main tourist area. None of the cab drivers knew of the hotel and struggled finding it even with the address, so be prepared for that. I would probably stay here again if I come back.

Great Hotel - very comfortable at a good pricePosted 10-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
It is a slightly further walk than a lot of the old city hotels, but also a touch cheaper. We stayed 4 nights - the room was very comfortable and spacious enough. For us, breakfast had enough variety to keep us satisfied for 4 mornings. I was a little worried about the garish decoration, but in fact it was nice and it gives a great unique value to the hotel.
