“Nice small hotel”

A good small hotel close to the sites and restaurants in the old town. The staff were really helpful and offered us a choice of two rooms as we were staying 'for a long time' - 6 nights! We chose the one with the balcony and sea view. The bathroom was tiny but clean. Breakfast was plentiful, though after 6 days a bit boring. We never used the restaurant, but the rooftop dining area looked nice. There was a good small supermarket immediately opposite.

“Great location!”

Legend hotel has a wonderful location in old istanbul. Its easy to access many of the popular attractions by foot. The hotel does look different to what you see on the website but for the price it is worth it.The hygiene levels were impressive. The only downfall would be the breakfast but at the price we payed i didn't really expect much more however, if you really are into a big breakfast then you may want to look elsewhere.

“In the middle of things!”

Legend Hotel is very convenient to the big tourist sites; walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The hotel a/c leaves a bit to be desired but in early June, the open windows provided a nice breeze alternative. Great wi-fi, better then pricey upscale hotels. You /know/ you are in Istanbul; a minaret is located about 600 meters away and the haunting calls to prayer were kind of cool. I slept through the 5 am one after the first night. Outside /can be/ noisy; traffic sounds at night include trash trucks and street cleaners (for the very clean Istanbul streets).

“Good for the price”

Good hotel for the price. Staff very cooperative and gives you good information and assistance. Elivator was not functioning properly but that could happen in any hotel.

“Comfortable”

They tried to fob us off with a tiny (single?) room at first, but moved us as soon as we complained and later service from reception was good. (A similar thing happened 14 years ago in a Sultanahmet hotel) The buffet breakfast was good and the breakfast room and roof terrace had great views over the Sea of Marmaris.

“Good value hotel”

This hotel, a short walk to the Blue Mosque, has a killer view from the top floor breakfast room. Take your camera and go up the stairs to the roof for spectacular views of the waterfront and old city. Staff is very helpful. Hotel is simple but perfectly adequate. Be sure you have driving directions if you take a cab.

“A great stay after a funfilled day”

The hotel was not as big as I thought it would be initially, but it was still quite comfortable. The location is great, and it's very easy to walk to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. There are also a lot of nice little cafes and restaurants close by, and there is an internet cafe right in the basement, which is very convenient. The hotel staff are helpful and are willing to aid you in any way they can, and the included breakfast is enjoyable with a beautiful view of the old city in the morning. So, after a busy day of site-seeing and exploring the city, this hotel is a comfortable place to come back to and rest.
