“HOTEL KONAK TAXIM”
Très bon accueil, personnel souriant et serviable, chambre bien entretenu, déjeuner varié.

I was very satisfied staying there. The hotel is extremly clean and with a good taste. I particularly liked the bathroom:-) sooo clean! And the staff was very helpful too, like all the Turkish people, they are just lovely!

This is a small hotel, room and toliet are both small in size bur well. It is notbad. Only trouble that I have had was the wireless Internet service. It was quite difficult to log on but it was ok at the end. Good location. 400m from taksim. A nice little corner shop just next door for all your drink needs. I have not eaten in the hotel, go to taksim for local fish. Much better, fresh seabass only TK15.

Great hotel for business & tourists. Well situated & good value for money. The only down side is that the breakfast was limited in choice.
“Conveneinet clean hotel in Taksim”
The location of the hotel is away from Taksim busy area, however the area is quiet and it is 5 minutes walking to Taksim square, the hotel is facing Taksim Hilton hotel. Konak is a very clean and quiet hotel, the breakfast is amazing specially pastries which were unbelievably tasty. Staffs were helpful and are good in English. The size of the room was good, elegant and very clean and well furnished, toilet and shower are in good shape. I recommend this hotel for business traveler as well as for couples.
“A Tale of 2 Hotels”
I had booked 2 rooms, both the same price and category, for 6 nights. One room was for our Cousins, and one for myself and my husband. The 2 rooms were as different as night and day, and my husband and I checked in first. Our room was tiny, cramped, smelly from the outside restaurants in the alley below, and dark, because of the location. Our Cousins room was a large suite, with modern features, clearly it had been remodeled, bright, with a view facing the front of the hotel. Our Cousins checked in a couple of hours after us, but we were given the awful room. Our bed was like a slab of wood, covered by sheets, and we like firm beds, but this was really incredible. The heat in the room could not be controlled individually, and when the window was open, the smell of grilled meats, permeated the tiny room, and our clothes. After a day, of flying 14 hours, and the jet lag, that accompanies it, we tried to make the best of it for one night and knew that the next morning, we would have to change the room or the hotel. The manager had one room to change us to, but it had to be done right away, and we had a meeting planned for that morning, which we were late for, but it was worth it to get out of the first room. That room was slightly better, but still located on the alley side of the hotel, right above the cooking smells, but we were 2 floors higher. The manager said they did not have any rooms like the one our family member checked into, but offered his apologies!
“Annoying problems entire stay”
We checked in and were told there were no non-smoking rooms. Our room stunk and the walls were thin so the people next door kept us up all night. The next day we were moved to a "better" room, which at least didn't smell like smoke. The air conditioner in this room was faulty, however, and it got quite warm at times. Problems with internet on and off entire stay. The mattresses aren't very comfortable and the sheets don't fit the bed properly - they barely covered us. We asked for a blanket the first night because the air conditioning blew right over the bed and they brought us one with a huge stain on it - gross. The staff try to be helpful but not everyone speaks English very well so it can be a bit of a process to get help. Location is ok but if you want to do things in Sultanhamet every day (where the main sights are) you'll be travelling back and forth quite a bit. But the area is good for restaurants and evening activities as well as shopping.
