“GREAT HOTEL IN FANTASTIC LOCATION”
THE HOTEL WAS IN AN EXCELLENT POSITION AND YOU COULD GET TO THE GRAND BAZZAR, BLUE MOSQUE AND ACCESS TO THE TRAM. THE STAFF OF THE HOTEL WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND HELPFUL. BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. THE ONLY DISSAPPOINTING THING WAS SIZE OF THE BATHROOM, NO LIGHTS AND LIMITED WARDROBE SPACE HOWEVER THIS WAS FORGETTON AS IT WAS WELL WORTH THE PRICE TO HAVE SUCH GREAT STAFF AND EXCELLENT POSITION
“Hotel Santa Sophia, Istanbul. A great find”
The hotel is a short walk (10 mins) to places of interest such as the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and the Yerebatan and close to local bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and had no troubles understanding English and were happy to help with all requests. Despite being near a main road you barely hear any noise from outside sue to the good double glazing. You can hear, however, the water being run for showers or toilets from other rooms. I personally got used to that quite quickly and it never bothered me. Breakfast was typically Turkish but plenty of it in a well lit restaurant. If anything was to run out they were quick to top it up even when it was at the end of the breakfast service. Cleaners did a good job of keeping your room spotless and cool. All in all a great place at a nice price!!

Good location. Breakfast was OK. Walls were a bit thin and the plumbing was noisy, but good value.
“Small room but clean and safe.”
The hotel is located within easlily walking distance from the Hippodrome/Blue Mosque area. The area appeared safe enough for me, a single woman traveler, to walk in at night. My single room was clean but small and cramped. Since I wasn't in my room much that wasn't a problem, but for some it might be. The staff were friendly and there was always someone who spoke English when I had a question.
