“Great place to say in Istanbul!”
This hotel was very nice, located very close to all of the best places in the old city. Major monuments very, very nearby include Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern (the latter of which is AMAZING!!!). My wife and I stayed here and the service was perfect, as were the rooms. There is a nice flat-screen TV in every room and air conditioning, along with a great bathroom (full bath and shower). Many rooms have an ocean view... if you want such a room, call ahead and see if you can book one, they're great (at no extra charge)! Again, the service is great, you can hang around in the bar area, where there's a computer to use with free internet access. Alternatively, you can go to the roof for a beautiful dinner at sunset, or just hang around and have a drink while payers are called... it's am AMAZING experience if you're Western and have never heard prayers called from every corner of a city. This hotel's roof is truly fantastic for such an experience (the first night we stayed here we went to the roof and heard a cacophony of prayer calls... truly amazing). My wife and I could not recommend this place more for the price (which is great for the amenities included!). Enjoy Istanbul, we did while staying at the Daphne!
“I recomend Daphne Hotel”
over all petit but well maintained with excellent staff. very helpful and always with a smile. rooms are a little on the small side but largely compensated by the friendly atmosphere.
“Friendly, well-located, clean boutique hotel”
We had short stays in Istanbul at either side of our Turkish beach holiday and the Daphne was perfect for this. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, the room was extremely clean and very nicely decorated with a very comfortable, large bed. The view from the window was lovely, looking out over a mosque to the Bosphorus. We were woken up by the call to prayer at 5.55am every morning, which might annoy some people, but just added to our magical experience of Istanbul. The breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality and readily stocked up if running low. The hotel location is perfect, especially if this is your first trip to Istanbul and you want to be near all the sights - the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia are all 5 minutes walk away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and thought it was extremely good value.
“Hotel Daphne in istanbul - nice, B&B type”
Personnel are very friendly. Breakfast is fine. Wireless did not work in the room but in the lobby/breakfast area. Rooms are small (European) but very clean. The best part is the rooftop dining. A small and un-busy dining area with an out -standing view of much of the city and water. Very relaxing. I believe there are five floors and five +/- rooms per floor. Very close to all of the old town attractions. Everything is within walking distance and can be done in several hours if you don't dawdle. Definitely more like a B&B than a Marriott, but that's part of the charm. We were there end of September and weather was perfect.
“Great boutique hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet”
This is a S Class boutique hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. It is well maintained and has an excellent staff. The area older with much history and this is definitely one of the better choices for the neighborhood. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very convenient to all of the significant sites in Sultanahmet and Seragilo Point. I would definitely go back to Hotel Daphne.
“Would return on next trip”
The breakfast was very nice. In a great location. Service was outstanding. Room was very clean. They even gave us a new years gift!
“Great place”
Stayed there for 2 days, great place, pleasant service , good location
“We enjoyed our stay!”
We got a great room with a view of the Sea of Marmara. Our room was decorated very nicely. The staff was very nice and helpful and answered all of our questions daily. The breakfast was excellent! One of the best we've had throughout our trip in Turkey.
“Hotel with friendly, helpful staff and great location”
This hotel is just round the corner from the Blue Mosque and the palace - a perfect location. The hotel is clean and the breakfasts are good. The roof terrace is stunning with wonderful views. The staff are very friendly and helpful but slightly pushy trying to sell other services such as a Turkish dancing experience or carpets from contacts.
