“Can't beat the location or the service!”

Staying at the Garden House was the perfect place to recharge after a day out in Istanbul. The management couldn't do enough for us and upgraded our room and attended to our every need. The rooms were spotless. The garden was delightful and the breakfast great! Our location was just down the hill from the Blue Mosque. We walked there in 5 minutes! I will definitely stay there again!

“Garden House Fan”

We enjoyed our stay and the services provided. The people especially the manager and porters were wonderful. It was a peaceful setting with a nice garden area to rest with complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits (cookies). They provided excellent transfers from airport, sea port to and from their hotel. Our guides they provided were excellent. Be sure and ask for Numan and tell him Mississippi sent you. Be sure and carry an address card with you as our taxi driver had trouble finding it. We only used one when we were tired and coming back from the spice market. Most places are in walking distance. Wonderful breakfast.

“Beautiful hotel in Sultanamet Istanbul”

The staff at the Gardenhouse was extremely helpful, from the first inquiries on email, to arranging for a car from the airport, to holding the luggage after check out. The location is great. They gave us a new beautifully decorated room, with a king size bed and a separate seating area. The courtyard area was relaxing and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Watch out for Istanbul taxi scams; arrange for taxis through the hotel. They know who is reputable.

“Brilliant, friendly small hotel. Great location for the sights.”

A lovely small hotel that was brilliant value for money. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and our room was cmfortably furnished (the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in for ages). The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy. If you need any advice or trips etc just ask them. Breakfast was simple Turkish style with cheese, olives, cucumber etc with everything very fresh. The hotel is in a good location 5-10 mins walk from the Blue Mosque but in a quiet location (except for the 5.45am call to prayer from the nearby mosque! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would be happy to return there any time.

“Really Lovely”

There are so many hotels from which to choose in Sultanahmet, it was difficult, but I trusted previous reviews. I wanted real Turkish hospitality and a clean hotel. I could not have been better pleased. The hotel staff helped me find the hotel while I was on my cell phone with my two children walking from the Grand Bazaar and the metro line. The staff were incredibly sweet and understanding, as I called back again and again, afraid I was lost. I followed the directions and found the hotel without getting lost, thankfully, because it was bitter cold. We were warmly received and made to feel at home. When we reached our two rooms, we were thrilled. They were the Ottoman style rooms. Perfectly clean, and warm, and each had a small hamam (Turkish bath) for the bathroom. This was so fun for the children! My 6 year old daughter let me sleep in the next morning as she and her barbie doll played in the Turkish bath. What bliss! It was her favorite part of our trip to Istanbul (and we had a very nice trip), The room was really perfectly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Excellent! Only criticism is that there was only one easy chair. We were cold and tired after flying in and going to the bazaar, so we ate at the hotel restaurant, which, again, was perfect. I promise, I am not exaggerating. It was a little expensive, but otherwise perfect. We had Chupra (a Turkish fish from the Marmaris or Mediterranean, usually) and the kids had pasta and shish kabobs.
