“Good spot in Istanbul”
Spent three nights... was a great location near all the major sights and with a late night small convenience store opposite. Helpful staff... friendly but not pushy. Great roof terrace views... nice spot for a post-sightseeing beer. Decent sized room with a view of Aya Sofia! Could see that some of the inside rooms might not be as good... but ours was great. Best shower I had in five weeks! And the breakfast had a wide range of options. Had one building wide issue with the aircon but was fixed quickly... so overall it was a great stay.
“Very impressed”
The hotel was very impressive starting with the price and the quality of service received. The rooms are quite small and basic but comfortable and clean. Very good showers with plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfast was excellent & plentiful with a variety of hams, cheese, bread, yougurt, jams amongst a host of other things. The scrambled egg was awesome. Everything was fresh including juicy fruit served each day. On the breakfast table each morning was a short newsletter with historical info and fact abouts some of the sights and local cuisine in addition to some Turkish phrases and the current weather forecast !
“Best place to stay in Istanbul”
I have done alot of travelling in the past 3 years (over 60 cities) and this hotel would have to be one of the best i have stayed at. The location was fantastic, close to all the main attractions in Sultanahmet and transport to other parts of Istanbul. A lot of the places we stayed at in Western Europe charge extra for breakfast and then only give you the bread and meat. The breakfast was included in the price and had a great variety. The room service and food in the restaurant was also delicious and a very good price. The staff were helpful in setting up excursions from the hotel and always ensured you were collected on time. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul for a short or long stay. The hotel is well know by the shuttle companies at the airport and it was an easy and cheap trip from the airport. A great location with fantastic food and staff, clean and pleasant rooms, nothing more you could ask for!
“Perfect location for Old Istanbul”
I'm from the U.S. and felt the breakfast was varied, multicultural and delicious, and table settings and other arrangements were first class. Lots of hot water in the bathroom, a tiny balcony over the street, a near view of the ancient wall around Topkapi Palace grounds, and free internet on the two computers in the lobby made our five-night stay more than pleasant. Staff was cosmopolitan and ready to help on any occasion. We jumped on the streetcar a block-and-a-half down and found ourselves at the Grand Bazaar, Karakoy Bridge, Sultan Ahmet and Hagia Sophia, or the Spice Market within two stops. An outrageous bargain, this hotel. One small point: If we didn't close our room's door with a bit of force, it didn't always close completely, we realized.
“Would happily stay again.”
I was welcomed with a glass of Apple Tea and taken to my non smoking room. I was given a choice of a single room with two single beds or a double bed. I did go to the hotel bar which for me was great quiet and time to read. Breakfast is a help yourself buffet I'm lactose intorant but didnt have a problem with finding something to eat.
“Good value and perfectly situated.”
This is a very well run hotel. The staff are friendly and keen to help with advice. I doubt if the breakfast can be beaten in Istanbul-an excellent introduction to local cuisine. The restaurant competes well with the many others in close proximity for other meals. As the staff are keen to point out most of the big attractions are only a few minutes away. Very good value.
“Will definitely return to Erboy”
Fantastic hotel, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, air-conditioned rooms, lovely roof top restaurant with great views and good views. Cleanliness of hotel and rooms could not be better - bed linen and towels changed every day. Would definitely recommend both this hotel and a visit to Istanbul - fantastic City. Will definitely return.
“I'd stay at the Erboy again.”
For me, the Erboy was a good choice. I used to live in Istanbul but away from this city center. Its location in the historic district introduced me to another part of the city which I knew very little about. The Erboy is great because you are a 5 minute walk from the Sultanahment area where Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosques, the Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, and a Turkish bath, are located. In the opposite direction, the Egyptian Spice Market and the Golden Horn where you can take a ferry to Asia as well as hop aboard a 90 minute Bosporus tour. Metro (train) is only one block from this hotel. Istanbul public transportation is wonderful. Ayse in guest relations responded to several emails which made my arriving in the city from the airport a breeze.
“Un Hôtel de qualité idéalement placé.”
L'Erboy Hotel est idéalement placé, très bien tenu, les chambres sont rénovées, le petit déjeuner et le restaurant sont de qualité. Le personnel est professionnel et très serviable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel.
“The best option in Istambul”
