“Simply PERFECT!!”

If you're heading off to the beautiful city of Istanbul... then this hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Its located perfectly within walking distance of all the main monuments of the old city. It's 3 minutes away from the tram which takes you everywhere. I advise you to take the train and tram from the airport to avoid being ripped off by the taxi drivers. It's not difficult, and the locals are extremely friendly. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning... it wasnt powerful enough but that was soon sorted out. If I go back to Istanbul, I will most definitely stay there again.

I think it is one of the best 4 stars hotel. It is the little things that makes the difference, such as free welcome drink, fruit basket, and free daily Turkish delight, the daily information sheet that has very useful information about the city, the culture, the language etc.

“A wonderful hotel for the money.”

The Aziyade wasn't our first choice of hotel but the original one had become full before we booked. We were glad of that as the Aziyade is a wonderful place from which to see all the sights of Istanbul. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the buffet breakfast is server in a roof top restaurant with views over the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque, the lobby has constant supplies of rose hip tea on tap for free and the rooms are clean & comfortable. They are a little small but this really doesn't matter if you are spendog most of your time exploring. The location is great being within walking distance of a lot of the major 'attractions'. It is quite hilly so wouldn't be so suitable for anyone with walking difficulties, but then Istanbul is built on hills so it would be difficult not to have negotiate some of them wherever you stayed. All in all I would heartily recommend this hotel.

“A solid choice.”

The hotel is located within walking distance of the metro near Sulthanamet station. I have stayed at other hotels in this general location, and this one is the best compared to the other hotels where I have stayed. The rooms are larger and better laid out, the restaurant is superior, and the staff were generally more personable and helpful. s

“Good hotel, but even better management”

This was a great hotel in the middle of Sultan Ahmet. It was walking distance to all of the major sites, and the one day we even walked over the Galata bridge over to Taksim Square. However, what made the stay even better was the hotel manager, who saw us one morning pouring over our map at breakfast (which is also something that is included in the rate and should not be missed), and came over to give us a few helpful local hints. Just before we left, we had a little package that we given to us, as “a thank you for staying!” This is a really good hotel – with the right mix of price, service and location.
