“Charming Hotel in Great Location”
We loved our stay at Artefes in Istanbul! The staff was so kind and helpful--from the welcome drinks to tour recommendations to the early check in. The breakfast was very authentic, delicious, and plentiful and served in a room with beautiful views of the sea and the Blue Mosque. The room was small (to be expected), but very clean and comfortable. The location was terrific--less than 10 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, less than 15 minutes to the Ayasofia, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. We will return the next time we are in Istanbul and will definitely recommend to friends and family!
“Excellence in Service and Comfort”
I have just concluded my fourth visit at the Artefes Hotel, and have never been dissatisfied with any aspect of this beautiful and extremely welcoming hotel. Its located at the heart of Istanbul, which means its gets a 10 / 10 for transport convenience. Its a quiet and comfortable boutique hotel that offers friendly and professional service. Put simply, Artefes Hotel is a home away from home and a pleasure to visit.
“Great Hotel and value”
A very good hotel. Friendly staff and well located, try the fish restaraunt across the street. Also, the Turkish bath is good to try at the hotel. I would recomend staying there.
“Great value for the price. Would stay again.”
We were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful. Also, the location was great for sightseeing in the "old city", and the complimentary breakfast buffet was superb. In addition, the hotel was very clean, as was our room. Our only complaints were these: Our room was rather cramped and oddly shaped, however we saw other rooms and they were fine. Also, a bit of plaster kept falling from the ceiling in two spots, and the shower tended to leak onto the floor just a bit. None of these were major inconveniences, though, and we would definitely stay here again.
“Fantastic service and amazing value!”
I stayed in Istanbul at the Artefes Hotel with two friends from college for 6 nights, and we couldn't believe how amazing our experience was for the price! The hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable - serving cookies and tea upon our arrival, taking their time to explain how to get where we wanted to go around town, making our reservations at restaurants, etc. Artefes is located just steps from the Blue Mosque, and is perfect for touring the major Istanbul sights. We stayed in a triple room, which was small but comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast on the roof terrace every morning (which is included in the price of your stay), which featured yogurt, eggs, cereals, cheeses, sausage, and other yummy Turkish pastries. Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough!
“Perfect Location”
the staff was very helpful despite missing a wake-up call or two, they provided good information, and arranged tours and pick-ups in a timely fashion. this hotal has an awesome location across the street from an authentic tea house. the roof deck provides excellent views of the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara, and also the Asian side of Istanbul. you will only a few blocks from the sea, and the mosque, with all Sultanahmet sights within easy walking distance. if you want to do any cruises or ferries, take a cab from this hotel to the piers for 10 Lira (a little more than $5) for a quick 10 minute ride. the breakfast is decent, and late night drinks on the roof are awesome. there is a small store one block up the hill from the hotl corner where you cand buy wine, beer, and Raki (must try). bed is hard, tv is small, don't drink tap water, bring an alarm clock, and stylish walking shoes.
“Very Comfortable and friendly hotel.”
This hotel was local to all sights and staff were extremely friendly. Always there to help and recommended some pretty good places to visit ie : hamman.
“allez y sans soucis”
petit hotel tres sympa tres proche des lieux a visiter comme la mosquée bleue, aya sophia et le palais de topkapi
“Excellent Small Hotel”
We loved the Artefes - its small hotel charm, its clean and bright rooms, its location - just 5 mins walk to the Blue Mosque, but mostly for the excellent service from the very helpful staff. They provided local information, answered all our queries, and even let us use their office computer to check in online for our return flights. And the views from the breakfast room were wonderful.
“Hotel très bien situé proche des lieux touristiques”
Hotel idéal pour effectuer à pied la visite des lieux touristiques. Proche de la mer de Marmara, à 10 mn à pied du grand bazar , du bazar égyptien et d'Eminonu pour effectuer diverses sorties sur le Bosphore. Hotel propre. Petit déjeuner buffet très bien, et en plus avec terrasse et vue sur la mer. Enfin, tout pour passer un excellent séjour.
