“Hotel Mercure*** : Les deux Alpes, Un week end memorable”

“short ski break!”

We made a last minute booking to the Mecure for a short 4 day skiing break, not easy to find in the resort for the price we paid. Check in wasn't until 5pm so arriving 10am wasn't ideal, however we received a very warm welcome from a young chap who spoke good English and informed us that our room was ready! The room was very nice and clean, not massive but ample for the 4 day stay. It was cleaned daily which is great after a full day skiing! There is a nice selection for the buffet breakfast, cereal, bread, cold meats and cheeses, croissants etc. Great location to the lift @Village 1800 and ski hire/passes. The only down side is that it is a little way out of town and you have to either drive or get the shuttle bus which stops at 7pm Mon-Fri 10:30pm Sat. Overall we enjoyed our stay

“Good half board place to stay in summer”

The hotel was clean, and the top floors had great views of the village and surrounding mountains. The half board catering was very good and made the stay great value for money.

“Comfortable and good value for money”

The Mercure Les Deux Alpes is located on the outskirts of the village, several hundred feet above it. It has excellent views, especially from the balcony outside the bar. I found the hotel comfortable, well-run and good value for money. There is a ski lift next to the hotel, but this only runs in winter. If you are summer skiing you have to use the Jandri Express lift which is about a kilometre away. This would be my only criticism of the hotel: if you go in summer you need a car, otherwise it's an excellent place to stay.
