“A fantastic hotel, excellent service, very modern rooms, fabulous food, brilliant facilities”
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Hotel Farandole. The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel was of a very high standard, We would certainly return.
“nous conseillons cet hotel”
Je comprends que cette station de skis soit très prisée par les étrangers, Anglais, Russes, Allemands ...du fait de sa proximité de Grenoble, je trouve toutefois dommage que tout le personnel recruté dans cet hotel ne soit pas "français". (le personnel ne comprenait pas du premier coup et nous faisait répéter). c'est la seule remarque que j'ai a faire , le reste était parfait.
“Good for a skiing hotel!”
Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We booked a "Gold" room which was supposed to be a better standard but thought it was rather basic so we upgraded. The room we ended up in was modern and light. The bathroom was small but well fitted. The separate loo was tiny! The food was excellent.
“Nice hotel”
The hotel is very friendly and welcoming. The staff are helpful and polite and the location is perfect for the Diable ski lift. The dinner is exceptional and well worth staying half board for. My only negative note is that some of the lounge/bar furniture is really feeling its age.
“Good, except for the vegetarian food.”
Nice rooms, lovely views, excellent navette service to the ski-lifts, poorer room service (having to ask for toilet rolls etc.) and the chef was not prepared to do ANYTHING AT ALL, not even a salad, for me as a vegetarian.
“Qualité Premium”
Qualité du service excellente, personnel très attentionné et sympathique. Restauration de type gastronomique mais restant légère. Ensemble Sauna, Hammam, Jacuzzi, piscine vraiment apprécié mais malheureusement pas parfaitement entretenu. Chambre de très bon confort même si pas très grande,avec déco contemporaine de goût bien qu'un peu austère. Reste de l'établissement plus traditionnel, ambiance familiale calme.
“Best of a poor selection in Les Deux Alpes”
Les 2 Alpes is not blessed with a wide selection of good hotels, the resort caters to the package tourist and the cheaper end of the market at that. Which is a shame because the skiing is extensive, with lots of just off piste powder if conditions are right. La Farandole purports to be a 4 star but in reality its probably a 3, the service is very freindly and helpful, the facilities are ok, there is a bus to run you to the slopes which helps because its a bit of a hike otherwise. The two areas it is let down on are the rooms, whilst they comfortable are noisy (the walls are thin and corridor noise is intrusive) and the food is not 4 star. It's ok but I have had significantly better in 3 star french hotels. The hotel has a ski shop in the basement but the ski's were old and range limited, you are better off going into town. Would I go back? Probably as it is the only place in Les 2 Alpes that will offer rooms for a long weekend but I would be more likley to choose another resort next time.

“SERVICE DEPLORABLE”
Le service n'est absolument pas à la hauteur de ce qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un établissement de cette catégorie (Internet payant, chambre disponible qu'à partir de 17hrs, billard payant,....). De plus l'accueil lors de votre arrivée est surprenant!! : on vous demande immédiatement votre Numéro de CB et son cryptogramme au cas où vous songeriez à partir sans payer vos extras, Hallucinant, un conseil refusez, comme moi, de transmettre ses données importantes. Les remarques positives : le service de restauration est de qualité ainsi que ce qu'on vous sert. En conclusion je ne retournerai pas dans cet établissement.
