right in the heart of Amish country. An older hotel with excellent value for money. Ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper, otherwise comfortable rooms with lovely gardens and a good old fashioned diner for a complimentary breakfast!

They show the movie Witness every night at 9p.m. because it was filmed locally (the ice cream scene was right in front of the office I was told)

The hotel was just perfect. We enjoyed parking our van right outside our room which was a big convenience. Staff were very cordial and polite. We really enjoyed the Amish breakfasts at 40% off. Good food, good people, and a wonderful time! We also had the convenience of doing our laundry there, although there is just one machine. We enjoyed the Amish dinners at "Plain & Fancy" and "Good & Plenty". We stayed 6 nights and enjoyed the shops at Kettle Kitchen. We also went to Bird in the Hand, Blue Ball, Lancaster and Adamstown. There were so many antique places. We loved the Amish furniture and we bought one of their largest wooden planters and next time, we want to get the Wishing Well.
