“Very nice location, nice beach access”
The location is perfect, near to Ingonish beaches, they also rent small cottages.
“Right on beautiful beach”
Location was beautiful right on a sandy beach. The rooms were well equipped but the balcony was a little rusty and the floor felt unsafe though it did hold our weight! We used the restaurant and the food was very good - they catered for our gluten free friend with no problem.
“"A nice place to stay"”
All in all it is a really nice place to stay. Some of the buildings need to be refreshed on the outside and the bathooms are a bit dated. All was clean. No wi-fi in the rooms and only in the lobby was a bit disappointing. People now travel with their laptops and it helps if you traveling to do your research from the comfort of you own room so you can be better prepared for your next destination or simply to keeping in touch with friends and family on your travels. Even smaller motels have free wi-fi included in rooms. The pillows are a bit too soft. The food in the pub was excellent and breakfast was as well. All food was reasonably priced. The beach was really nice and would love to spend a few days there just lounging on the beach. The bon fire at nice is a great touch.
“The only thing good about this "resort" is location.”
This "resort" was probably very nice 20+ years ago. The location is great given the large expanse of beach adjacent to the grounds. Other than that, the facilities are outdated and in an overall state of disrepair. In example, the window frames, doors, balcony railing, and similar exposed metal features were severely corroded. The mattress was hard and the bedding was cheap. The closet door would not fully open due to the placement of the furniture. The concrete beach retaining wall was crumbling and the wooden steps leading to the beach were flimsy. There were several dogs residing with their owners in neighboring rooms.
“Don't stay here”
I stayed in this hotel for one night - thankfully it was only one night. The room was awful, there were gaps in eh carpet, which was damp and dirty, there was paint peeling off the walls and the beds were very uncomfortable. There was no sound insulation between the rooms, so when the people above came in at 2am we heard every sound. For the money we paid, I'd also expect wi-fi. I would never stay in this hotel again, even if it were half the price that we had paid
