Magical
Magical old villa. Lots of history. Lovely staff. Not touristy but in a great location. A treasure. If you don’t need your hotel to look like a Radisson, then you will love this place.

I like the old look, and the art indoors and authentic building!! The staff very friendly!! Not like: the WiFi not working at all!? not like promised!!! The room we got have Noise from this roof all the time and you can’t sleep at night! I purchased Here plug so I can Sleep! The room connected to sanitation and every times opening the rom and using it Yuen’s can’t sleep and wake you up early in the morning the staffs start clinic the rooms! This is are worth room ever!!!

Pleasant stay in historic buiding
Pleasant stay in partially historic and very well maintained buildings. We enjoyed as well the impressive rooms such as the breakfast room as well as the park-like hotel garden. Ideally located in the Varese region which offers may opportunities.

Lovely hotel, great views and friendly staff
Stayed over christmas with my family. Had a really good time. Rooms were spacious and we took a connecting room for the children. Only issue was that the showers took a long time (5 minutes) to get hot water through - annoying the first time but otherwise just a minor inconvenience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a choice of warm and cold foods, tasted great. Overall happy with our stay.

4 satisfying days.
The hotel is a tad dated but still great comfort, very clean, nice staff and in a very nice environment, having it’s own private parc. The food at the restaurant was marginal, but the service very friendly. the breakfast buffet is plentyful in choice and flavor. Down side we only figured out on the 4th day of a 4 day stay, you can get an actual real coffee when asking the staff at breakfast in lieu of the disapointing coffee machine in the brekfast room. Plenty of free parking, which was great. You can walk to the train station (we took the train to Milan to visit instead og going with the rental car, 6,10 euro each way), as it is only 675m away. Wifi was very good and reliable. I would still recommend it as nothing important was missing and it was an overall great place.

Beautiful villa turned into a hotel. Nicely appointed rooms, great bathrooms, lovely grounds. Everything is well kept. The staff was professional, couteous and friendly. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Not an extensive menu, but the food was well prepared and tasty

Nice hotel close to the lakes
The hotel was very quiet during our stay (early April) but we had a good time. Breakfast was lovely and the bar served nice snacks. Our room (a junior suite) was very comfortable and well appointed. Our only gripe was that the tea & coffee supplies weren't replenished during our stay, we had to ask for it. Our bathroom toiletries were replenished though. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of a small town which had a lovely trattoria and a couple of other restaurants. Unfortunately there wasn't a local bar so our evenings were spent in the hotel after our meals. The hotel is about an hours drive from Lake Maggiore and Lake Como so ideally situated for visiting that area.

Outstanding food in a lovely building.
I chose this hotel because of other travellers recommendations for their food and was not disappointed. The restaurant provided an excellent evening meal with the quality and cooking of the beef tagliata a real highlight - as was the quality of the barbera wine. For breakfast there was a very wide variety of food with the only downside being that the coffee machine broke down. Our room was a good size and comfortable although a fuse must have blown as the lights in the bathroom which were working fine in the evening wouldn't work at all in the morning - my feeling being that a hotel can hardly be blamed for an electrical fault and I only reported it as we left because we were staying for one night.

Great Italian Villa
Great hotel traditional style. The service was outstanding and the food beautiful. Breakfast lacks hot dishes but dinner was superb. It needs a bit of attention, particularly some of the common areas, but it has the charm of an italian villa. Highly recommended. Very good value!

We arrived after a long drive and we asked for some coffee but at the time we arrived none was available. We were told that we had been upgraded and we're pleased to be given a free upgrade. Our pleasure however was spoilt by the fact that our bathroom lacked certain attention to detail like a shower door that had come off the rollers at the bottom of one of the two sliding doors. A sink plug that let the water out of the basin only slightly slower than the tap could put it in, a bulb fused in the overhead mirror light and a loo seat that was very loose. Larte on a Sunday afternoon we arrived back having spent the day sightseeing and wished some refreshments to be told that they should not even make us a cup of correct or tea but we could get one down in the village. This hotel seems to specialise in conferences and not private customers and breakfast could be short on selection after 8am. Beautiful buildings poor service.

Historical hotel originally owned by the Pirellis
Hotel located 40 some km from Milan Malpensa airport. And 22 km to famous Lake Como and Swiss boarder by car. On side gourmet restaurant ,continental breakfast included.Beautiful and well kept grounds, and plenty of parking. This is also a hospitality school so not all staff has good english. Missing a door signs Do not disturb, which created unwanted room entry one day by staff ,4 times ! within 2 hours. Also got reprimanded by waitress that we removed a tee pot from the dinning room and have to return it so it can be washed! No credit back was given for returned pasta dish with occtupus. We were during a low season,so perhaps during one issue of seafood freshness want exist.

On an upward track
This hotel was re-opened a few years ago by a new company and it is benefiting from professional management and a clear financial commitment. The buildings, once the home of the distinguished Porro and Pirelli families, are large and handsome, set in their own park, and with 5-star appearance. The bedroom we slept in had been refurbished to a high standard. The carpets in corridors and public spaces seem to derive from the former ownership and need to be replaced. The breakfast was a little substandard since the scrambled eggs seemed made from powder, some of the croissants were rather tired (but others were baked fresh that morning and were quite delicious). The prices charged at the moment are relatively low so the hotel's current "proposition" represents excellent value for money, and it is a hotel one can expect to get better and better as the new owners build on their successes.

Awesome villa with great history. Amazing architecture, garden, statues and interiors. Clean rooms, great gym, beautiful outside pool. Hotel service at the highest level. We even got our lost item sent to us via Poste Italiana by the hotel staff.

We lived in the area for around 10 years and had visited the Villa for various functions but never stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The room was very well served every day with fresh linen etcetera . The Varese football team were in the hotel on our first night . It's a very quite place but convinent for trips to Varese Milan Lugano and the Lakes . The only disappointment was the coffee from the machine at breakfast! The breakfast was good , bar prices also very reasonable . I eat alone in the Villa one night and the food was a little pricy but the service and wine was excellent .

Is a nice hotel, located in Induno Olona, near varese by car. Good service, nice room. A good choice if you have a car!. Complimentary parking and WIFI (the best WiFI of all the hotels that I´ve stayed in my life) ...nice breakfast!.

Based on prior ratings we chose this hotel for a visit to Lugano. Although listed as being within 10 miles of Lugano, it took 40 minutes minimum to drive through narrow countryside roads. Also the location via hotel.com was not listed as being in Italy, so there were border crossings as well which sometimes had lengthy queues. Not ideal at all. Also, there were many noises during the night so sleep was fitful at best and you could also hear the goings ons in the rooms either side of us. Very badly insulated against noises. The tank fill ups for the toilet systems and showers took for ever too and were noisy as well. The hotel building is very beautiful and has ancient character unmatched elsewhere but use as an overnight hotel, I would not choose again.

Hotel Villa Porro Pirelli - a beautiful place!
A beautiful hotel with such history - the Villa Porro Pirelli is tucked away in Induno Olona. Beautiful building, grand statues and wonderful fresco's would recommend a stay here. The only problem was getting a drink from the bar in the evening as generally there were 2 waiting staff available in the restaurant, but if you want to drink outside in the beautiful court yard, we had to speak to the receptionist to call the waiter which sometimes took a few minutes to be tracked down. There was no entertainment in the hotel apart from a pool table, which suited us as we were touring the Varese and Lake areas, but for some hoping for a bit of life, could be disappointed. The gardens could do with a little tlc, the pool was green and the fountain water was very green - poor fish! The room was cleaned to a very high standard daily and was very comfortable - with a fridge and complimentary bottled water, which was replaced daily. Breakfast was fantastic, a great choice of cereals, eggs, toast, cakes and pastries, salami Milano and good coffee/teas if preferred. Overall, if you want to stay in grand Italian surroundings in a building of great historical value then this hotel is a little bit of luxury for a very reasonable price.

The restaurant was really the highlight of our trip. Amazing food. really great. The Hotel is in the middle of a big garden,very nice atmosphere and quiet. At the time we were there(early August) there were not many guests and mostly the rooms were empty, we really enjoyed the quiet mysterios atmosphere of the hotel and the garden.
