A beautiful hotel with such history - the Villa Porro Pirelli is tucked away in Induno Olona.
Beautiful building, grand statues and wonderful fresco's would recommend a stay here.
The only problem was getting a drink from the bar in the evening as generally there were 2 waiting staff available in the restaurant, but if you want to drink outside in the beautiful court yard, we had to speak to the receptionist to call the waiter which sometimes took a few minutes to be tracked down. There was no entertainment in the hotel apart from a pool table, which suited us as we were touring the Varese and Lake areas, but for some hoping for a bit of life, could be disappointed.
The gardens could do with a little tlc, the pool was green and the fountain water was very green - poor fish! The room was cleaned to a very high standard daily and was very comfortable - with a fridge and complimentary bottled water, which was replaced daily.
Breakfast was fantastic, a great choice of cereals, eggs, toast, cakes and pastries, salami Milano and good coffee/teas if preferred.
Overall, if you want to stay in grand Italian surroundings in a building of great historical value then this hotel is a little bit of luxury for a very reasonable price.
