“Close to airport for overnight layover.”
Bed was too hard.
“Not bad; great for price; near the airport; wired internet; sauna and jaccuzi; nice”
Great value. Lobby personnel speak English and Japanese very well. Breakfast not great, but not so bad. Room is good. Bed is the "hard" type, perhaps not so great for the "cushion" loving American visitors.
“Convenient to stay near Inchon Airport. Shuttle service is great.”
Good to stay in this hotel if your flight depart early in the morning. It takes only 10 minutes and there is no traffic jam.
“Both good and bad”
The first impression of this hotel is from the neighborhood, which is run-down and slum-like. It made me wonder about my safety, especially since I was traveling alone. The hotel itself is not as bad, although the attempt at Italian villa decor is totally out of place in Korea. The worst thing is the bed -- it was a mattress on the floor, and hard, hard, hard. (None of the hotel pictures online showed a mattress on the floor. The online pictures also make the hotel seem much nicer than it is.) The bed was way past firm -- no give whatsoever, and completely impossible to sleep on. No different from sleeping on the floor. On the plus side, the room had a large flat-screen TV with lots of stations, and the hotel staff was very nice and spoke English. The room seemed clean. They also included 2-3 free bottles of water, and some Korean soda (which I didn't try). Being close to the airport was convenient (10 min). The free transportation to/from the airport saves money (runs hourly from the hotel, and takes about 15 minutes for them to pick you up from the airport after you call them). The hotel includes breakfast, but it is primarily an Asian breakfast, so if you're in the mood for a western-style meal, you'll be out of luck. The hotel name is also a misnomer - it isn't "ocean side"; you can't see the ocean from the hotel. All in all, there are several good things about the hotel. But the run-down neighborhood and the impossibly hard bed soured me on this hotel.
