“best hotel in Iguazu”
The hotel was very comfortable and the pool and gardens are very nice. there is some construction for addition to the hotek but it is not intrusive. breakfast is good and plentiful
“texan in argentina”
location is everthing - bus from airport takes you right to hotel. breakfast is filling; bus station to iguazzu is right across the street - literally - yellow bus to the falls - amazing.
“If I visited the Iguazu Cataractes again, I would without hesitation book Hotel Saint George again.”
The Hotel has a nice and inviting lobby with bar, big flat TVs. The check-in went smoothly thanks to Miguel who is fluent in English and volunteered to book a boat tour for me next morning at the Iguazu National Park. My room was on the 3rd floor at the back and quiet . The breakfast buffet is excellent and offers a great variety of food. I do not recommend to go for breakfast last minute - buffet closes at 10 hrs. The two employees were not happy, did not clean a table for me or give me a clean cup for my coffee, cuttlery and napkins. I had to improvise, go and grab a cup myself and enjoyed my breakfast. Frenchies who arrived even later than me drank their coffee out of cereal bowls. I also enjoyed the dinner buffet at the hotel restaurant with all the salads and starters, pasta at your gusto freshly prepared with the sauce of your choice, parilla and dessert. The waiter was very friendly which is not always the case when you are a woman travelling alone. Check out on my 3rd day was 10 hrs. The reception stored my luggage, called the airport bus service to pick me up at 16 hrs, gave me a voucher for a towel at the swimming pool and since my plane to Buenos Aires only left at 18 hrs, they allowed me to use the whole infrastructure. The pool bar serving drinks and lunch was great, the pool and toilet facilities clean and the beach chairs very comfortable. The big garden around the pool is absolutely beautiful. I am so glad that I stayed at Hotel Saint George.
“Comfortable, pleasant hotel right across from bus station”
I recommend this hotel as a base from which to explore Iguazu National Park. If you arrive at the airport, this hotel is about a 20-minute taxi ride (100 pesos). To go to the park to see the waterfalls, just walk across the street from the hotel to go to the bus station. Inexpensive bus ride to the park takes about 30 minutes. The hotel has a pleasant rustic design, and is very clean. There is a pool area which I did not have time to use, but looked very nice. Wireless Internet access was poor. I could get an acceptable connection only if I stood in the hall near the third floor elevator or in the restaurant. Could not gete a connection in my room. I only used the restaurant for two of the morning buffets, which are included in the room rate. Breakfast quality was 6 out of 10. Overall, I recommend the hotel, and would stay there again.
“Great hotel”
Excellent location, friendly staff. Got upgraded to a junior suite with views of Rio. Only drawback is you have to check out at 10am.
“Saint George Hotel Fantasic Stay”
Upon arrival the hotel staff was very helpful, courteous and efficient. Several spoke excellent English which made checking in very pleasant. Our room was large (two queen beds), clean and quiet. The bathroom was spotless and had seperate shower and tub. Another great tip, the bus terminal to Iguazu National Park (waterfalls) was right across the street. Buses run every 20 minutes and cost 20 pesos ($5.00) round trip as of 2-17-12. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
“St George a Good Choice”
This is a four star hotel with most required facilities such as pool, sauna, ´´pamper centre´´, restaurant (breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent) and snack bar. It is within walking distance of most things such as the bus station (important for getting to and from the falls andotherattractions), taxi rank, other restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Importantly the staff will attend to whatever you want willingly, including ringing booking agencies for you. I enjoyed my stay.
“hotel saint georges iguazu”
Hotel bien situé, confortable, de bon standing, personnel serviable et bilingue anglais, seul bémol : l'insonorisation des chambres n'est pas parfaite, on entend les clients des chambres voisines et la route...
“Good value and excellent location”
Stayed here in february 2010. The location is excellent for both shopping in town and going to the falls. The bus station is across the street and very convenient. The room was very spacious and bathroom was well equiped.
“Good location, few disappointments”
Saint George was a good hotel for our needs in Iguazu. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant had an ok continental breakfast with hard boiled eggs that were hard to peel, but still, it's Argentina, so expect to have more sweet breads than anything. The pre-fix dinner was excellent and at a good price. The amenities are sparse with a dirty pool, althought pretty courtyard. The spa (?) was very limited and you had to pay to sit in the suana - not sure why since there is nothing special about it. My negatives are: the hotel safe was too small for our laptop and the front desk wouldn't hold it for us when we went to the Falls. Also, the hotel Manager was not friendly at all! But the location of this hotel was very good and it suited our needs.
