“A Relaxing Weekend!”
Great small mountian town. Lots of places to eat and enjoy a cool beverage. And, as a plus, an excellent wine bar called Idyll-awhile.
“Looking forward to returning again next year”
This is an older building but the room (a mini apartment) was very nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxing. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch just talking and watching the birds.
“beautiful place”
beautiful, quiet, and peaceful place surrounded by pine trees, and snow at this moment (feb 18)... highly recommend... well maintained.. wonderful girls at the desk...don't wait another moment to decide to come here....
“Good value for the $”
I didn't expect too much for the price, but was very happy with the room I got. Was pretty clean, bed was comfortable, and it had a kitchen, which I din't use except for the fridge. The last time I was in Idylwild I paid twice as much for a crummy "room" that did not even have a fridge, or a telephone- so this was much better. It reminds me a lot of a timeshare condo that I rented in Kona last January, but at a lower price. I would stay again, especially since I liked it much more than the other inn I stayed at there.
“Will go back someday”
Hotel is somewhat in disrepair. Flowers in the whiskey barrels would be a nice touch. Also, a TV in the bedroom but not a must.
“Bad motel”
There was ample room to spread out and the kitchen was a good addition but the carpet was soiled and there was a big hole in the ceiling to the attic which could bring in spiders and other insects. The air conditioner was in the living room and so the bedroom was stuffy.
“Kitchen dirty but great location”
Kitchen floor was sticky - enough to require shoes. I wiped up some sticky spots, which came up easily with a wet paper towel, which means no attempt was even made to mop it before check in. Refrigerator was a good size but was also dirty. Dining room chairs were very dusty. No daily maid service, so the cleanliness of the room at check in is how it will be for the length of your stay. Bedroom, especially the pillows, smelled of cigarettes, although non smoking was booked. No TV in the bedroom. Great location - within walking distance of some stores, restaurants, etc.
