“Good Not Bad but satisfied”
Good Hotel, not Bad Beach are amazing. Pool are petty small.
“Worth a visit”
At check-in we did not get adjoining rooms as requested and in one of the rooms the a/c didn't work. We were transfered to adjoining rooms (with functioning a/c) the next day. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms could do with updating soon. The sea-view rooms have a lovely view but are noisey because they overlook the bar/entertainment area. However, all noise stops prompty by 11pm. The on-site restaurants especially the Italian, beach bar and Seafood restaurants were excellent quality but on the pricey side. My 9-year old daughter took part in the swimming pool games at midday and art-and-crafts between 3-6pm daily. For adults, the fitness centre was average and could get busy for the CV equipement. There was belly dancing and water polo and tennis. Other activities at additional cost. There was a useful complimentary bus service to Downtown (which needs to be prebooked). Overall a very nice experience with a few hiccups.
“Decent, but only just”
The hotel was previously an Intercontinental property, which means it was very well appointed. Under new management it's obviously starting to look a little run down. There isn't anything essentially wrong with it, just a little 'exhausted.' The food - although highly varied - isn't the best. Obviously you're stuck with options unless you're willing to leave the hotel every day to visit neighbouring areas (downtown, etc...). Overall, it's good value for money, but if you're looking for true 5-star service, look elsewhere.
