Nice roomPosted 17-Sep-2014
Room itself was clean and comfortable, hotel is seriously outdated through common areas from carpet to the furniture. Hardly felt like a 1st class hotel at all.

Pros: Close to work
Cons: Up date the AC

Always a nice stay, the parking is close by, can't wait for the construction to be over with. That did not affect my stay

Not close to much except Road construction.Posted 12-Jun-2014
Location: ROAD CONSTRUCTION - STAY AWAY!
The biggest issue with this hotel is that it was listed as a 4.0 star and probably at best a 2.5. The other issue was that Hwy 290 is under construction in both directions at the hotel making its accessibility very difficult. Upon arrival the A/C was already set to 64 but the room was not cool and unit cooled minimally at best. Overall we were so disappointed, we left at our own expense to find another hotel closer to Brookhollow.

Nice hotel, friendly staffPosted 12-Jun-2014
Pros: It was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nice. Nice lobby and seating area.
Cons: Different sheets, not so stiff. Also, the breakfast buffet was not very appetizing. Eggs were disgusting like they were powdered eggs or something.
Location: There were lots of things close by, movie theatre and a lot of restaurants. Right off of freeway
The hotel was better than I expected. It's an older hotel but still in very good condition. Beautiful foyer. Enjoyed our stay. Would have given 5 stars but did not like the sheets on the beds. They were thick and probably expensive sheets, but thick and made noise when you moved. Annoying. Also, disappointed with the breakfast buffet. Overall, a very nice hotel. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Sub-Par Crowne PlazaPosted 28-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
Every time I stay here, they tell me it is sold out and put me in the Sub-Par Courtyard area around the pool away from the nice main tower, yet there is always plenty of good parking. I personally think since I booked with Hotels.com each time, I am somehow penalized and not allowed to stay in the main tower. The Courtyard rooms have doors on the outside like back in the 60's or at modern cheap-o -motels. The courtyard area stairwells look like they are never swept and if it rains, you walk through huge deep puddles of water in the stairwells. I think this is the last time I stay here and pay close to $200.00 per night to stay in a cheap-o-motel looking place they somehow slapped the name Crowne Plaza on the sign. One day as I walked up the stairs to my room, I passed another gentleman on his way down. He stopped to let me pass and asked, "Are we sure we are at a Crowne Plaza?"This means I am not the only who thinks the Courtyard area is a dump.If you stay here, do not allow them to put you in the "Courtyard Area" if you are expecting a nice place. Also!, You cannot see the TV from the desk because whomever installed the TV's put them way back in the hole. This place IS NOT for the business professional.
