Cheap night in a good hotel

Posted 2-Nov-2014
Pros: The pool area. The large room. The big tv.
Cons: Check out the bath...suite 400
Location: Right on the freeway soda very accessible to everything you need
We arrived late after we'd spent the day at Formula 1 in Austin. I booked only the night before through Expedia and it was a secret hotel at 3 1/2 stars. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. The room was huge...it didn't have a fridge but this didn't matter. We didn't have breakfast here but drove to McDonald's over the road. The bed was great and if you were sharing the room the others in the room were tucked behind the wall for a bit of privacy. (We did have a suite) Our only problem was a couldn't work out how to have a bath,it wasn't a problem so I didn't complain. The hotel decor is a bit dated but for comfort and for the price I paid for the night how can you complain? Loved the pool area in the morning, free towels and good sun beds

Nice room

Posted 17-Sep-2014
Room itself was clean and comfortable, hotel is seriously outdated through common areas from carpet to the furniture. Hardly felt like a 1st class hotel at all.

nice stay

Posted 8-Sep-2014
Pros: Close to work
Cons: Up date the AC
Location: Great places to Eat
Always a nice stay, the parking is close by, can't wait for the construction to be over with. That did not affect my stay

room smelled like cigarette smoke

Posted 27-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
My room smelled like cigarette smoke the first night. The people in the room next to me were smoking in their room and it was coming into my room via the door between rooms. When i returned from my meetings the next afternoon, it smelled fine.

Great hotel, great stay!

Posted 13-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
What stay. It was our first time to Texas and we spent 2 nights here to attend an MMA fight. The staff got us into our room 4 hours early which was super nice because we just drove 12 hours, the room was nice and cool when we got in it, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff was fantastic in helping us! The only complaint I have has nothing to do with the hotel, but man Houston has some bad construction going on right now! But seriously the price of the room was amazing, the experience was incredible. Definitely would come back!

Not close to much except Road construction.

Posted 12-Jun-2014
Location: ROAD CONSTRUCTION - STAY AWAY!
The biggest issue with this hotel is that it was listed as a 4.0 star and probably at best a 2.5. The other issue was that Hwy 290 is under construction in both directions at the hotel making its accessibility very difficult. Upon arrival the A/C was already set to 64 but the room was not cool and unit cooled minimally at best. Overall we were so disappointed, we left at our own expense to find another hotel closer to Brookhollow.
