“Awesome hotel! By far the best in Tsim Sha Tsui”
The Mira was great. Reviews of other guests said that it was noisy due to construction and that the staff were not competent enough. I beg to differ, my entire stay at The Mira was excellent. The staff met all my expectations and they got me everything i asked for with a sense of urgency and a smile. There was no noise of construction at all. The hotel itself was brilliant. Room was comfortable and had everything a traveler would need. The hotel's location is great. Its walking distance from all the great shopping by gateway and the harbour. Next time i plan a trip to the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, I'm staying at The Mira again.
“recently updated and good!”
Good location and a lot of style. Maybe prices will go up as this is a high end place, but a good deal for now. GREAT shower. Just what was needed after a looooong flight. Loved it.
“A Wonderful Surprise in Hong Kong”
I recently had an unexpected layover in Hong Kong -- at my own expense -- after a flight from the U.S. I had a few short moments before boarding my flight to search for a hotel -- and thanks to the NYT travel section and Expedia found the Mira. My goal was to make the most of this short visit and see a bit of Hong Kong rather than spend the night at the airport. I also wanted a bit of pampering after the long flight, but didn't want to spend a fortune. The Mira Hong Kong was a hip oasis after the long flight. Comfy bed, a selection of pillows, a deep soaking tub, a super quiet room (park view room), and a room phone that doubled as a local cellphone. The connection from Hong Kong airport via the express train to Kowloon Station and a free shuttle bus made it easy for a sleepy first-time visitor to find the hotel. The Mira is in a busy shopping area but a short walk from the harbor and Avenue of the Stars -- a great spot to see the skyline at night. My only regret was that my visit was so short!
“Miramar Hong Kong”
The Miramar suited us because it was comfortable and walking distance from shopping, restaurants, transport to all destinations in the area, ect. The staff were very helpful with visa and travel arrangements. We uold definitely use it again when we next visit Hong Kong.
“Very Nice Hotel”
What a lovely hotel and the service was exceptional , what a nice change from other Hong Kong hotels , it can be expensive but you pay for what you get , when I go to HK next will stay there.
“Convenient Nathan Rd., Kowloon Location”
Our adult family group of six stayed at this conveniently located hotel on Nathan Road in Kowloon for 4 days in late June 2006 and occupied three different units. Then four of us returned 11 days later to occupy two rooms. The staff is accommodating and service is excellent. The rooms of the original stay were in an updated area of the hotel where the rooms and closets were a little larger. One of the rooms during the later stay was easily exchanged for a nicer smelling room. The TVs offered 4 English-speaking stations CNN, CNBC, BBC, and HBO. The hotel restaurant had a very good breakfast buffet with many Western and Asian choices. The business center of the hotel offers broadband Internet at US$6 for 15 minutes or the nearby Pacific Coffee on Nathan Rd offers free Internet on 3 computers. The hotel is across the street from Kowloon Park and near the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR (train) station. Within walking distance are the HK History Museum, the intriguing shops along Nathan Road, and the ferry terminals to HK island or the cities of Macau and Shenzhen (gateway to the mainland).
“Will return!”
The staff are extremely friendly and useful. The room was very clean and modern. The beds are comfortable although the pillows were too soft for me. There's enough amenities to cover your needs. No real complaints here. The location is excellent as well.
“Good hotel for causal traveler”
There are lots of choice of good Hong Kong style restaurants near by. It is on the airport bus route. It only 33 dollar per person for the bus no charge for the luggage. The hotel room is very clean the sheet is clean. The hotel room is old but well kept. There are good bookstore on third floor with English and Chines books. Good choice for the price.
“Very good hotel with grate location”
Overall hotel was very good. Location was 2 blocks away from MTR (subway) and right in the middle of HK shopping. A bridge linking it to the Miramar mall and just across from the Kowloon Park. No complaints except for the reception guys which was offering a single bed OR double but smoking room even though I requested for double bed non smoking. They gave me those bad options then they offered that I upgrade. Told them no and gave me the original room I requested. Not a good way to start though.
“Great Hotel”
Mira Hotel is great! It reminds me Cumberland Hotel in London. The staff was very helpful. The location is great. I strongly recommend it.
