This hotel is fantastic value and in a stunning location. You are only 35 minutes away from central by fast ferry and can return to this hotel to enjoy peace and quiet and Lantau's outdoor attractions.

“Location, location, location!!”

location, location, location! A great place to stay as an alternative to the hotels of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. I particularly enjoyed the quiet and laid back feel to the island; away from the claustrophobia of the centre of HK. The ferry ride in to the city was particularly enjoyable. If you have more than a couple of days in Honk Kong, stay at the Silvermine Beach Hotel, Lantau.

“Great beach front hotel--really on the beach!”

Very lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. Near a ferry dock. I wanted to see the Big Buddha and a bus stop was conveniently near the hotel.

“Perfect for the task”

Location superb, 30 to 40 mins from both Airport (Taxi) and Hong Kong (via Ferry), Free Internet, great Value, Free Beer in the Evening with meal. Rooms need upgrading but were very clean.

“Relaxing place to stay in HongKong!!!!”

Its a really nice place to stay. People there are friendly and most of them speak english because there are alot of foreigners staying in this place. 30mins ferry ride you'll be in central. If relaxing is your goal I suggest you try silvermine hotel. Its an hour bus ride from the airport. Bus fare is cheap too. The hotel serves good food. Free Breakfast:everything is fresh.Yummy! Nice waiters too. They give good ideas where to go. If you like to shop this is far from the shopping area. I can't wait for my next trip to hongkong, i'll surely stay in silvermine again and again. Rooms are spacious.I hope they take good care of this hotel because its really cool, nice, safe place to stay. Its clean too.

“Stayed for 5 nights.....enjoyed all 5”

I liked the location of the hotel more than any other one thing. Nice and quiet when you return to hotel after a busy day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The ferry rides are relaxing and inexpensive...and they run constantly. About a half hour ride to the main island. The room was very clean....never had a problem. I recommend the new wing rooms...worth the extra cost. It's a twenty minute ride from the airport. Very happy with my stay.

“nice friendly hotel”

no this is not in the center of everything but nice quiet location with a beautiful view of the harbour at breakfast. the staff is very helpful and friendly and one can access any part of hong kong and area easy by public busses and ferry dock less than 10 min walk.

“Looking forward to returning”

The hotel is located on the same island as the airport but is a 40 minute ferry ride to Hong Kong Central. If you are looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the main island then i would recommend this hotel. The price also includes a western breakfast buffet. I plan to visit Hong Kong again and I will stay at the Silvermine again.
