“Excellent value for HK”
The hotel is 5 MTR stops away from Central, in front of Quarry Bay MTR (10-12 min journey). If you prefer, trams stop 100m or so down the street. Good location, spotlessly clean, and very good value for the price.
“excellent hotel all round”
We found this hotel to be absolutely fine in every way. The rooms were cleaned everyday to a very high standard and we got fresh new fruit everyday. The cleaners were excellent and also replaced all toiletries etc and there was plenty of them supplied very generous. The breakfast at Green's was excellent and could not be faulted at all. It had everthing you could want and very well set out like a smorgasboard. You certainly did not need to eat for the rest of the day if you filled up at breakfast. The staff were very accomodating and always helpful when we asked them anything. The concierge was very good with directions and buses etc. The hotel was a little out of the way in terms of major shopping but it was also nice to be away from the main hustle and bustle. But there was heaps of transport to choose from very close by so that is not really a complaint just depends on where you want to stay but it was fine. I would thoroughly recommend the family suite as we had 2 children with us and they were catered for very well in the sofa bed and the single rollaway bed also. So great place to stay with a family that is for sure.
“Highly Recommended”
Harbour Plaza North Point was a good choice. The room was spacious (about 300 sq. feet) with a nice partial harbour view located on the top floor (33rd floor). The employees there were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The supervisor from the housekeeping department even came down to our room personally to see if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. They also had free shuttles that take hotel guests to a couple of the major shopping areas along the Hong Kong Island. They have a fully equipped fitness center that opens from 6:00am-11pm, and they also have a self service laundry room that opens until 11pm as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that's planing to travel to Hong Kong.
“Great Place”
The staff has excellent English skills. It may be away from the main part of town but the hotel is in a very quiet location and it is very close to dependable public transportation.
“Best I've Used In Hong Kong”
Harbour Plaza North Point is an excellent choice for the visitor to Hong Kong, whether the trip is for business or pleasure. The hotel is well appointed with a good level or guestroom amenities. The room size is on a par with those found in the UK, therefore a fair deal larger than some hotels I have used in Hong Kong. There are several choices for those wishing to eat in the hotel. Greens restaurant serves a varied international menu and a fixed price breakfast, which while not particularly cheap does give you the chance to fuel up for the day ahead, while the Hoi Yat Heen is the hotels Chinese restaurant. During my stay in January, Hoi Yat Heen was serving a large selection of snake dishes, (I can recommend the minced snake and hairy crab balls), which the Chinese believe wards of the effects of winter by raising body temperature. Hoi Yat Heen serves authentic Chinese cuisine at prices which are on a par with those in the UK. The hotel is situated between Quarry Bay and North Point, so a way out of the more central districts of Hong Kong Island, this does not present a problem though, as the local MTR (tube) station is just across the road. All considered this is the best hotel I have used in Hong Kong and would definitely return.
“La perfection à prix raisonnable”
chambres très agréables, vaste room suite à un prix très raisonnable. Propreté parfaite et mobilier de bon goût. Formidable buffet petit déjeuner (un peu cher tout de même). Service impeccable. 2ème séjour dans cet hotel qui renforce ma 1ère impression. Quartier calme à 10/15 min en taxi et métro des quartiers animés.
“Terrific Value and Quality On HK Island, With A Pool Too!”
This hotel would be far more expensive if it was closer to Wanchai or the Central Station. But you can be at either in an cheap and easy 10-15 minute taxi or free hotel shuttle ride. Very nice, knowledgible, professional staff and excellent, first class facilities and outdoor pool. Lowest rates don't always get harbor views, but that's easily solved anywhere else you're going to be. Neighborhood is more tidy business and banking than glamourous Hong Kong. Nice and convenient local services - ATM, metro, tram, grocery, pharmacy, McDonalds - right out the front foor door.
“Great hotel for the price”
I've been to this hotel twice now and I've been quite impressed by it. It's clean and modern, and the amenities were fine. The location is a little far from Central or TST, but fairly close to Causeway Bay. It is steps from the Quarry Bay MTR station. If you enjoy hiking it is walking distance from the Wilson trail, which connects to countless other local trails. Also within walking distance is a really nice and upscale dining area with East End Brewery and Grappa's Millenio. I've had two quite enjoyable stays here and the price was right both times.
“Excellent stay”
I stayed 9 nights at this hotel in early September and would recommend it. It's not in the centre of things like Wan chai or Central, but that's what I prefered. Still easily accessible with a subway station across the road and tram stop at the front door. My room was very clean and comfortable. No noise. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
“Will definately revisit”
Beautiful hotel, with friendly helpful staff. Well worth upgrading to the one bedroom suit. : )
