“A conseiller”
“Will definately stay here again, when next in Hong Kong.”
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade when signing in at the reception desk. Our room was spacious & offered an excellent view over the Happy Valley race track. All reception, porter & service personell encountered were friendly, polite & extremely helpful. Having access to a courtesy coach service was a real bonus. We used the tour operations service on two occassions, both tours were on time & efficiently run. We will definately stay here again, when next in Hong Kong.
“Can't wait to go back to Cosmopolitan Hotel in Hong Kong”
I stayed in Cosmopolitan Hotel in Hong Kong for 7 nights during August 2011 while attending a Conference. This hotel is excellent. They offer a very good service. I had the Causeway Bay view and buffet breakfast included. Everything went well. Breakfast is excellent, and you have a choice of Continental, Chinese or British Breakfast. The location is not central, but 10 minutes walk to Times Square or Wan Chai metro station. You can also take one of the 6 free bus shuttles offered by the hotel to get around. There is also a tram stop just in front of the hotel! Overall, I was impressed by the service at this hotel. And especially that I got a pleasant surprise during my stay: I had my birthday during my stay and the hotel manager left a small message and a present for my birthday! I felt they are caring about there guests. One downside is that the windows are not double glazed, and there is a highway nearby. It didn't bother me, but if you're a light sleeper, this might affect you. I'd recommend it to anyone and will get back to Cosmopolitan hotel again in the near future.
“Very welcoming, hospitable hotel for HK travellers”
It was my first time in Hong Kong and yes, the experience is a tiring and daunting one. Be rest assured the Cosmopolitan Hotel can be a very accompanying travel partner if you were a solo traveller like I was. In terms of location, it's very accessible from Chep Lap Kok airport. I recommend travelling on the Airport Express MTR directly from the airport rather than taking a taxi direct as it is genuinely much cheaper. Once you've arrived you will be greeted by someone and taken to the front desk to be checked in then be offered to have your bag taken to your room for you. The deluxe room I stayed in had a wide view of the HK Jockey Club and sports facilities alongside Wan Chai park and the hectic traffic inbetween. Overall the room was very equipped with complimentary shower gel and hair shampoo as well as bottles of water, a kettle, executive desk with a widescreen TV and full air-conditioning. House keeping will arrive every morning and won't hold a grudge if you're still in bed after a heavy flight and need to catch up on some sleep! You'll get to know the surrounding staff by first name very quickly with no problems of any language barriers. (Although in one or two cases in the hotel restaurant, I did have to speak a little slower or use gestures when ordering food.) A very recommended hotel to say the least to either seasoned or new travellers and my only regret is not getting the phone number of one of the restaurant attendants.
“Great Hotel”
Wonderful place to stay, the staff was really nice helped us pick out some good places to eat. The shuttle service saved us some money. The view of Happy Valley was great. Overall wonderful experience. Thank you.
“can't wait to go back”
It was the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life! The service was absolutely beyond belief! Lovely and fantastic!
“Cosmo's great”
We stayed at the Cosmopolitan for a week. The food in the restaurant was good, especially the breakfast buffet. They are in a great location right across the street from the Happy Valley race track. Access to the street cars is very easy since the "Happy Valley" cars stop right in front of the hotel. The service staff were always friendly. Rooms were clean and just the right size.
“Would go again”
hotel was very clean and staff very helpful. convenient for everything, tram sop about 5 minute walk. MTR and shopping mall about 10 minute walk. Only negative would be no free breakfast, and drinks in the bar were expensive. But would more than happily go there again and would recomend it to anyone.
“Treated Like A Princess”
The front desk allowed us to check in early after an overnight flight from London. They were speedy and efficient. The concierge handled every possible question we threw at him with absolute courtesy and helpfulness. We felt like we had a built in trip advisor there. The room was clean and a nice size for Hong Kong. The beds were on the firm side, but the sheets and bedding were comfy as could be. The room had great temperature control and we had a nice view from the 15th floor. The bathroom was roomy and clean. Gorgeous glass bowl sink. Clean shower and toilet. The tv had a good mix of channels. The free wi-fi in the lobby was great and the in room wi-fi a reasonable cost. We were a ten minute walk to Times Square. There are many restaurants in Wan Chai area. We breakfasted at Cafe Kenon every morning. The service at this hotel was 5 star. Every staff member went above and beyond for us and it seemed like a standard of the hotel. There is a bus stop that takes you to Stanley market and beach right outside the hotel up the hill a bit. Ask the concierge for Bus #6.
“High Standards and High Value”
