“5 star service at a 3 star hotel.”
The Thien Thao is older but well maintained. We booked 3 rooms in 2007, 2010 and 2011. As indicated in the survey we were very happy with our choice. The friendly staff even sang happy birthday and gave my son a cake after noticing the birthdate on his passport. The breakfast was excellent and the service quick. It is a long distance from the airport but worth the drive as it puts you within walking distance of shopping areas and short taxi rides to many attractions. The neighborhood is safe and we often walked to our destinations. We will use this hotel again.
“Agréable séjour”
Nous avons reserve cet hotel pour 2 nuites pour notre famille de 5, 2 chambres supérieures. Les chambres sont tres confortables, bien isolées, le service de l'équipe est discret et excellent. Hotel récent. Situation un peu excentrée, mais a 5 minutes du centre en taxi. A recommander vivement!!!
“SATISFIED TRAVELLER”
The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were genuinely helpful and responded promptly to any request. The showers were hot and fast flowing and a safe with a combination lock was provided. A large number of English speaking TV shows were available to watch. We could hardly hear traffic noise from our room. The free breakfast was simple but suitable given the variety of overseas visitors to cater for. Instant coffee with whitener or tea were always available as was bottled water. The free internet was invaluable for contact with family and updating travel arrangements. I travelled alone with my 14 year old daughter and she felt very secure in the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the main tourist attractions if you can manage crossing the busy streets! Because of its location visitors are not exposed to the usual hawking of wares.
“Great Hotel”
This is an excellent hotel! Staff English is great and they could not be more helpful. The rooms are quite large, very clean and have all you need in them. Included is a very good breakfast. I don't know why people say it is not safe to walk in this district at night, I found it very pleasant and safe of an evening, although I was not out after 2230 at night, and I had no problem at all with taxi access. Although not in the "downtown" district, it is not too far away; I walked to the Ben Thanh Market in about 15 or 20 minutes and if you don't like walking, taxis are very cheap if you catch a reputable one which will always use a meter. One of the best 3 star hotels I have stayed in and I highly recommend it.

Kevin and his staff are so professional and they would go out of their way to help in any way they could, i can not understand how some people could not give this hotel top marks?. I mean for the price we get charged it is great value and the staff make you feel so at home. Kevin even went out of his way to take me to some local coffee shops and try local produce and this was in the afternoon which should normally be his rest period as him and his great wife and all the staff work such long hours to make sure all their guests are comfortable and know what to do whilst visiting Ho Chi Minh. Thanks All Look forward to seeing you all again soon...

Great, clean hotel. Location is about a 10 minute taxi ride from downtown HCM (between 30K - 40K dong). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
“Thien Thao Hotel - Ho Chi Minh”
My stay at Thien Thao Hotel was exceptional. The rooms were in excellent condition with a very modern feel to it. It was clean and fresh and very comfortable. The rooms have LCD panel with cable channels. They have in-room electronic safes. The beds were comfortable and quite large. The sheets/pillows were always clean and in immaculate condition as they do room service daily. The bathroom has a modern design and very clean, with a separated shower and toilet.. none of that "toilet bowl with a shower head above it" arrangement. Basically, the pictures you seen on the website, is what you can expect.. and it turns out to be even better! They have PCs with internet access in the lobby for public use and Wi-Fi access. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, I was always greeted with a welcoming smile. Most of the morning/afternoon shift staff has a fair command of English, so there is no need to worry much about communication problems. The hotel manager is very fluent in English and was always enthusiastic about helping me out. I had a friend staying at another hotel and he went to the trouble of looking up for it on Google maps, ringing up the hotel to confirm I had the correct address, and then marked it on a map for me... and all I did was ask him if the hotel was "far away or not?". Thien Thao Hotel is a wonderful hotel and was definitely value for money. I would recommend Thien Thao Hotel to all if you are staying within district 5 in HCM.
“Ho Chi Minh Stay”
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on the end of our 2 week trip around Vietnam. We had 3 Superior Rooms and found them all very clean and comfortable. The beds in the rooms were massive. The rooms were not overly massive, but the fact that they were clean and comfortable was all that we required. The morning breakfast that was included with our rooms was enjoyable. I would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to others.
