The hotel is in a great location. Just a short walk to Ben Thanh Market and Dong Khoi Street. There is also a large bus stop right in front of the hotel. Building is old but has been beautifully renovated. Staff is very attentive and helpful. breakfast buffet on the G flr. has a wide variety of items and is very tasty, so it is a must-try.

Need some serious attention.
This hotel needs serious attention. Room 902 drapes were filthy and worn through by the sun. The bed was comfortable but I shudder when I do not have both a bottom sheet and top sheet separating me from the quilt. Sorry I never complain, but really!!
Response from Kelvin Pham on Apr 17, 2018
Dear Mr. Joachim Thank you very much for your support to our hotel. After received your information, we already arrange one more sheet to the bed and now we already change the drapes and fixed the worn. Your comments are useful for us to improve our service. Thank you very much

Disappointing
We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and found it very reasonable and amenities and facilities all at a good standard but this stay we found the hotel to be run down. Our room was looking very aged and curtains were very old and dusty. The Restaurant was very below standard and the tables were always dirty at breakfast. The breakfast was very below standard with most food being cold eventhough they were in hot boxes and not replenished. The tea pot had a large crack in it and leaked whenever you poured a cup of tea. The bread was very stale. We stayed here 4 nights and this didn't change at all. The only thing this hotel has as a positive note is it's close to Bin Tan Markets. We will not be staying or recommending this hotel to anyone for future stays in Ho Chi Minh.

Cheap accommodation close to the famous market
The hotel was quite a run down place. I stayed in a superior room on fifth floor n it got a big window which was good. The room had some funny smell but is bearable. Basic facilities but no slippers provided. Carpet was not vacummed properly n the towel provided had blood stain. Breakfast can be skipped easily, not worth paying any extra on breakfast buffet as not enough selection n whatever was on offer was not of good quality. I skipped the breakfast. Overall, if someone is looking for a cheap hotel but safe then this could be it. Staff were extremely friendly n always willing to help.

Money needs to be spent by the Owner
The photos look really appealing on the website and the room is in fact quite pleasant, but the hotel wreaks of "OLD" . The owner needs to take a trip to an international hotel and take a lot of notes. Buffet was pathetic if you are a foreigner

Great location, and size.
This hotel was in a great location, and the size, comfort, and cleanliness was great. This hotel was very close to Ben Tranh market, so all that was needed was to tell the taxi driver to take you to the Ben Tranh market if they didn't know where the hotel was.

Location wise, it is good, being close proximity to Bui Vien, Ben Thanh market, Bitexco Financial Centre, Le Loi and Pasteur. Extremely walkable to all these places and if you know your way, you can walk to the War Remnants Museum in Dist 3 too! Checking in was not a problem even though I arrived past midnight due to flight delays. It was quick and effortless. Similarly for the checkout process. Lastly, this hotel is in need of a renovation and innovation to stay relevant in the competition. The furnishing, beddings, shower and elevator are really dated that needs a refresh. I didn't feel it was value for money as I have stayed in other hotels that are newer, decent and lower priced.

Perfect Location
The hotel was very central and is minutes away to Ben Thanh Markets / Night markets. Also few minutes walk to Saigon square which is the best place to shop around for clothes and souvenirs (bargaining is a must!!) There are also many good restaurants are bars, Barbecue Garden happens to be one of the best places to dine on a decent budget, grilled meats and seafood specialties and great vibrant atmosphere all within a few minutes walk from the hotel

Decent hotel in a great location.
We stayed for 10 nights in a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking Ham Nghi street. The hotel and the room are both a little old but very well maintained. The room is spacious, bright and clean; everything is functional. Our room is on the 7th floor and there is some traffic noise but not enough to disturb our sleep. The bathroom is also spacious and very clean with lots of amenities. Breakfast was good with sufficient choices of both European and Asian food. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel location is just great. It is close to the major tourist attractions yet just behind it is a normal local area full of inexpensive food and drink places. The bus station is also a minute walk away making getting around by public transport a breeze. Bus 152 from the airport practically stops at the hotel front door.

So so hotel
Stayed there for 3 nights. It was OK and not much to compliment. Staff was ok but you need to speak clearly in English for them to understand. Breakfast is boring. Same menu everyday and the only changes is fried rice and the soup counter. They have egg counter too. Room a bit dated. Aircond works well but it takes time to get cold. Sometimes you can listen to sound coming from the air conditioner. The water pressure is poor and they are using the old type of shower. They need to change the shower. My room (810) is quite big. Requested for twin bed but getting queen. Noise proof although the hotel is near to the big roundabout in front of Ben Thanh market. They only offer small bottles of complimentary water instead of 500ml. Not suitable for a long stay but 1 2 nights is ok. The good thing is you don't have to pay any deposit. Hotel is next to good massage parlour (137 massage)

Dated room and noisy location.
Room was dated and hot water did not giving a consistent pressure. Booked a room with balcony but it's a smoking room and all the rooms with balcony face to one of the busiest streets towards to famous Ben Thanh market. Heavy traffic all day. Booked this hotel for six nights but only stayed one night and changed to another hotel. Breakfast included in a room rate but cold coffee did not give me a good start of the day. There are several Liberty Hotels in District 1 and others looks nice and modern. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in my life. Not recommended.

This place is a scam
The place is filthy, dirty. Booked 2 executive balcony rooms. put me into one of their small rooms without saying a word. When i call the front desk n told them i booked exectutive, they told me "sorry we are all booked, we dont have your room, u have to wait til tomorrow then we change for u" basically i im not getting what i paid for. The facility is smelly, room is full of bundles of fallen hair. Sont count on the balcony as stated, they do have a balcony but it's being used to put their ac unit and water is all over the floor. As for the bathroom, i booked one with tubs cause i have a baby, they put me in a room with stand up shower, the stand up shower was siety and molded. This place has zero customer service fr the doorman to the front desk. I feel cheated because i spend more money to get executive, disnt expect a high end customer service but this is the worse i have ever seen. They cant deliver what i paid for yet they acted like its my fault and i have to take it the way it is because they have no room. My question is if their place is already sold out then why even accept booking then stick people in something that is completely not what they paid for

Hotel was in great condition and staff were very helpful as well. We were given a room on the 9th floor, which was very enjoyable. Surprisingly, noise level was minimum considering the location of the hotel. Would definitely go back there again!

Good Hotel for the price
In general for the price, this is a good hotel. The room was clean and for a family of 4, big enough for all of us. The buffet breakfast was good, but you have to get early in the morning, we get late the first day and they ran out of juice and milk and they did not have more. The wireless internet is strong enough for all our devices (2 ipads, 1 android tablet, 1 laptop and two smartphones) all connected at the same time. The location is very good, close to most of the main attractions of the city and the street in front of the hotel was very quiet.

Liberty 2 Hotel, Excellent Location
This hotel is well appointed with pleasant staff and a great location. Everything is within walking distance. the markets are 150 metres away, far enough to avoid the noise, close enough to pop out and buy what you want. a short walk in the other direction is the waterfront with the gaily coloured and lit up boats set up as restaurants. the various museums and the Palace are an easy walk away. Just make sure to pack water and watch for vendors trying to sell overpriced drinks and coconut water. FYI a litre of water is about 10,000VND, with a 500ml 5,000VND. Coke is 15,000VND, cans of beer around 15,000 to 20,000VND. Only fault we could find with the hotel for the price is the unusual shower heads which send a strange flow of water. Staff were great, food was good.

overall it's a good hotel.
overall my stay was good. The only strange thing was to see staff of the hotel sleeping in the reception or even in the restaurant during the late night (after midnight). however it seem to be quite commom in other hotels. The view of the roof top (the restaurant is amazing). Staff are quite helpfull. They have a massage area in the hotel, but you better be aware that they ask for tips! (not a big deal).

Good location and quiet.
This hotel is well located in the centre of Saigon near the Ben Than market. It is close to 2 excellent Chinese restaurants (moderate prices) and an inexpensive liquor store. The guests are a mixture of Asian and European travellers of all ages. We had a room on the 9th floor which gave us a wonderful view of the new financial centre building, the tallest building in Saigon (worth a visit to the observation deck $10 or $6.50 for Seniors). The hotel Restaurant/Breakfast Room is on the 10th floor and has Impressive views of the city below. We had dinner there and can recommend it for price and quality. The Vietnam Government was hosting a foreign trade delegation there so I guess that says something.

Not bad
This hotel is steps away from Ben Tanh Market and the Street Market but it is in a pretty crummy area. The hotel has an order to it that is obvious but then so does the rest of the city. The rooms were clean and relatively comfortable. The hotel staff was excellent. Our doorman arranged a driver to take us to Mekong Delta because we had only a limited amount of time to go there. Also, the top floor of the hotel has a restaurant which looks down on the circle and you could spend hours watching the insane traffic of Ho Chi Minh from there. Breakfast was good. We only spent 2 nights here on either end of our trip and it was fine. A bit of a drive from the airport in a taxi that will set your teeth on edge!

We stayed this hotel for 2 nights. The location was ok as it is a bit far from busy area. However road noise was very clearly heard from our room though all the windows were shut. There was a big karaoke nearby around 8:00 in the morning and that woke me up. The breakfast was not special and lots off egg-based food. Staffs had basic understanding of English. One more important thing is that we both had some funny feeling on tummy after we drank the water provided in the room. Not very much recommended.
