“really impressed by the amazing service there!”
the service is really great! we suppose to check on 22th., but somehow, our flight has been changed. then we asked if we can make our reservation on 21th., the reception checks and submit! that's really thankful! But on the pick-up service, i would say, it's really bad. it cost $25 from air-port to hotel. crazy! to take a taxi is $7.00, and motocycle is $2.00. i think they should check this rate carefully! B.T.W. the door guard is really great, great smile, great service!
“Extremely happy and satified with Elegant Hotel serviecs”
I had warm welcome when i arrived the hotel. Bell men & receptionist really helpful , friendly. The room i stayed clean, spacious with jacuzzi bathroom. Buffer is so good. I feel happy and satified at this hotel.
“Would go back!”
Room was clean, spacious, quiet and felt secure. Good shower. Located in what seemed to be one of the slightly quieter streets (for Ho Chi Minh City!) next to a convenience store and within easy walking distance to nice eateries/bars. Breakfast buffet exceeded expectations with a choice of Vietnamese and Western dishes. Some worthwhile tours/daytrips can be booked with reception. I'd definitely go back!
“What a Surprise”
My Wife and I are both disabled pensioners in our late 60,s, we were surprised by the quality of the hotel, we had booked a 14 day stay in the centre of HMC , rooms were clean, even though the staff were sometimes run off their feet, they were always ready to help, infact they could not do enough for us, we cannot fault the hotel or its staff, the breakfast buffet is quite a nice spread , and there is plenty of it, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it as what we think is the best value for money in its price range, we have booked again for later on in the year, Most important of all we arrived as guests and left as friends!!
“nice location, not far walk to attractions”
hotel was clean and reception was very helpful. tours organised through hotel were cheap and ran very smoothly. for the price paid i think this hotel is worth it. area is noisy but so is the whole of ho chi minh so i dont think you can escape that. would recommend
“Bait & Switch”
I wanted a suite with a separate room for my 15-year-old daughter. We got 2 separate beds, instead. We had only 1 TV, consequently, & my daughter took it over, along with the voltage converter & laptop charging. I wanted a kitchenette. No kitchenette. The tap water was good, and small food stores were very close & very adequately stocked. > TRAFFIC IN HO CHI MINH CITY IS THE WORST IN THE WORLD! IT WAS WORTH YOUR LIFE JUST TO CROSS THE STREET!< Taxis are cheap, the VND is cheap yet stable, & the U.S. dollar goes a LONG way. Best conversion rate is at the hotel, quick & convenient, any time, day or night. Motorcycle exhaust makes the air pollution constantly bad; this is what will most likely make you sick, along with going from hot outside to air conditioning to hot outside again. Complimentary breakfast, Western or Asian, was good except for the always overcooked & eggshell-ridden hard boiled eggs. Hotel menu was limited, but good.
“Good value.”
Great value for money. Location is very good; it's close enough to the tourist area to make things walkable but far enough away to be more peaceful, that's if peace and quiet are possible in Ho Chi Minh!
“So So in Saigon”
Staff not helpful at all and even mislead us on several occasions. Forgot to service our room for 2 days and didn't even bother supplying new toilet paper. Location is not bad for Dong Khoi and good food though.
“Great Hospitality”
I was surprised by the warm welcome with a glass of orange juice before the bellboy took my bag up to my room. The location is interesting and pretty close to everything you want to take a casual stroll to get to. There's a famous sandwich shop called Banh Mi as well as a great Pho place right next door!! For the men, there's also a famous haircut and massage palor with a dozen most beautiful women in Saigon. For merely $6 dollars you can get a shampoo and face wash as well as a full body massage! Whatever you do don't fall in LOVE!
“Disappointed”
My stay at the Elegant Hotel was very disappointing given the price tag. I was very disappointed with the ladies at the counter. a) I booked a family room and was given two small standard rooms on check in and was told they are doing a me a favour for not charging extra for it. One of the rooms had wires sticking out of the walls. b) When I booked for a hotel taxi to go to the airport, I was told it was US$25. I reminded the counter lady I paid $20 for the hotel pickup when I arrived. She looked at my file and then said she is doing me a favour and will reduce it to $20. Yes a very big favour ... more like I am not going to rip you off. c) I booked a tour on the third day of my stay and asked the counter lady to charge it to my room. She said I have to pay for it now. I reminded her that yesterday I got a tour and charged it to my room. She checked my records and said she will do me a favour and allow it to be charged to the room. Yes a big favour indeed. d) I emailed the hotel a number of times about pick up from the airport and none of the emails were responded to admin. Eventually I had to call the hotel. These problems arise from poor communications skills and the attitude that foreigners are easy targets for rip offs. The porters and kitchen staff in the hotel were very friendly.
