The room we had was excellent, even having a shared bathroom it was good. The place is close to most of the areas of interest so we never had to take a bus. Breakfast provided was good and staff was always friendly.

I had a very pleasant stay at 1900 Artevita, with both Leonardo and Stefano proving excellent hosts. It's not the most central of hotels and is probably a good 15 - 20 mins. walk from the centre of Town, but it's very quiet as a result and I had no trouble getting to sleep at night. Highly recommended.

"Lovely boutique hotel - couples/friends/families."
While travelling around Europe for 2 weeks with a friend of mine, staying at 7 hotels in all, I found that this hotel most definitely gave the greatest value for money, the staff provided very helpful and friendly service, and to add to our fantastic experience here, we discovered that each room had beautiful, individually decorated rooms. Our room had one double bed, and two single beds on a mezzanine level - perfect for us, or for a family of four! The hotel is within 10 minutes' walk of the Uffizi Museum, Ponte Vecchio, Accademia Gallery (with Michaelangelo's 'David' and 'the Slaves') and Brunellesci's Dome at Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral - perfect for our needs. The only downside was the quality of coffee at breakfast, and I think the hotel would do well to invest in a decent coffee machine! However, coffee can be found in all the cafes situated nearby, and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Bea and Max run this residence which was formerly their grandmothers home. We took a taxi from the train station (10 euros) and were met by Bea. She showed us around, gave us a set of keys, and provided us with a map and the best route to walk to the major sights. She also gave us a list of recommended restaurants, all of which serve authentic cuisine and some well off the tourist radar. We enjoyed the eateries they suggested and even returned to one a second time (across the street - all locals except us). Both Bea and Max are very pleasant and ensured that our stay was enjoyable.
