The property is certainly dated. It was clean and the front staff was always polite however for the rate it charges per night it should be much better. The owners should invest more into the facilities and not make the staff take the complaints of the lack of basic accommodations that are expected in a hotel. It is only two miles from the public beach which does make it convenient.

Staff at the front desk was very rude at check in and at check out. They charged $3 per day for use of the safe even after I declined the service. At check out I had to request reversal of those charges.

Homeless people staying next door, always smoking outside. Holes in the wall. Didnt have a hair dryer. I wouldn't stay there again.

I planned on red roof. Hilton head. When we got there it was the wrong Hilton head red roof. But it was Christmas week. So we just stayed. We walked it. And the only furniture in my room was the bed…. When we asked for a chair they said that was if you upgrade your room!? What!? Never come here again.

Expedia had a refri/micro in the room. But the room didn't come with that, so I had to pay an upcharge. Expedia should pay for that. Because your pictures show a refri/micro in the room. The room needs some nice chairs to sit in and not have to be sitting on the bed all the time. Not comfortable. I don't know if it was the bed or me/us. Neither of us sleep well the entire time we were there.

Check-in and check-out went well and professionally. I stayed here years ago and it is definitely better. Nice rooms and bath. My only small critique is the tv. Cool channels and options other than NO Golf Channel! I would drop Taiwan channel and replace it with Golf!

Hotel looked fine from the outside. But the heat in the room was not working and the overflow drain in the bath tub was almost rusted through. There was no refrigerator. The bathroom was tiny. We left after being there for 3 hrs and stayed at another hotel on the Island. We would never go to another Red Roof Inn and will tell everyone we know never to go to a Red Roof inn.

Started with terrible musty odor in room. Then realized heating system did not work. Overflow drain in bathtub almost completely rusted through. Bathroom exhaust fan very loud. We were offered offered another room but there was no heat in that room either. So we left the property after being there for 2 hrs and found another place to stay. We will never stay at any Red roof inn.

The room was disgusting. Spiders on the floor, bathroom was nasty, beds were nasty, smelled like urine and mildew. Literally would not shower , didn’t want to sleep in the beds but was so exhausted . Tried to get refund on the second night but was refused and so I just called it a loss and didn’t return. Went to a nice clean hotel elsewhere. Will never try to rebook there again.

The first room we checked into, someone else was already in. Went back to the office, she apologized, gave mus a different room. It was musty and the sheets were damp. The ac filter was dirty. Couldn't stay. We left and she refunded me our hotel costs.

The receptionist is/was the most unfriendly, unhelpful person I ever "met" in a hotel. The hotel is a non-smoker hotel/motel, CLEARLY not. The door to the bathroom did not close. There was only 1 towel in the room.

The TV remote wouldn't work and it took quite awhile to get that resolved. The phone didn't work, was reported but never resolved. The bathroom door couldn't be closed all the way because it stuck at the top and had to be opened from the outside. The shower head sprayed water out the sides and needed replacement.

The staff were nice and friendly. I did t require anything while I was there. The room was clean and comfortable. The building is dated and there was a broken dresser in my room along with a broken previous thermostat on the wall.

Terrible check in experience
Called the day before my check-in day to let them know i wouldn't be getting in until 3 am. They said they would put a note in my chart and that I was good to go. Fast forward and I arrive at 3 am to find no one at the front desk. I waited around about 10 minutes to see if they were just out. I then see a in case of an emergency number and proceeded calling the number for about 30 mins. Around 3:45 someone finally answers but I got hung up on when I explained my situation. Someone finally came and I eventually got into the room at 4 am.
