“Very Clean motel!”

It's an older motel but the rooms very clean! That's more important to me than the decor. The owners were very nice. They are installing new carpet in the rooms and we were able to get one of those rooms. I enjoyed my stay there and will stay there again when I go back to bike the New River Trail!

“Very quiet small town”

It was Labor Day weekend and I never heard another guest. Very nice and quiet. Thank you for being there.

“Beat expectations”

It's not the greatest hotel ever, but it wasn't expected to be. We only stayed for one night, but were very impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. The hotel sits right in town and is within walking distance of some great spots and the park. Also, the staff was very kind and treated us very nicely. It sits directly next to the Galax police department, also.

“There are Better Hotels”

You get what you pay for. It was cheap.

“Would never stay here again”

There was no parking on the side of the hotel where our room was. We had to park on the other side and walk around. The clerk acted like I asked for his first born when I asked for a couple of extra pillows. Both of these issues are important to me as my husband is disabled. When we turned the heat on in the room it made such a racket we could not hear each other talk. The shower was just horrid. The spray was so fine and hard that it stung, and would not stay warm because the force of the water caused a "wind" with it. We were in a non-smoking room, yet, it smelled like smoke and there were cigarette burn holes in the bedding. Not impressed at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
