“Great historic hotel with wonderful service”

Can't wait to return to Old Edwards Inn. Had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable and had 2 balcony porches! The staff is so pleasant and truly welcoming. The spa was so relaxing. I didn't book any services but enjoyed the sauna, hottub, steam room, and lounging area. Loved this hotel and highly recommend! Enjoyed shopping in the town and hiking to many local waterfalls.

“Perfect Anniversary Get Away!!”

Beautiful, well-maintained hotel with lots of charm. Helpful, friendly staff. Overall, it was a perfect place to stay for a long anniversary weekend. We will definitely be back to try the spa!

“Wow, exceeded all expectations”

We had a wonderful time there - everything is top notch, the attention to detail is incredible, and the quality of craftsmanship is evident everywhere in a beautiful setting. Once you arrive, you are not "nickel and dimed" to death. Complimentary refreshments are available 24 hours a day in the Butler's Pantry, with a computer provided for common use. The gym is state-of-the art, and the spa facilities are lovely. I look forward to going back.

“Great get away for rest and relaxation”

The inn is charming. I like the older parts that date back over a hundred years. The spa was beautiful and the services I had were teriffic. They had home made cookies in the room when I arrived. The turndown brought homemade candy each night. The service was wonderful. i would welcome the opportunity to return.

“Exquisite in almost every way”

The Old Edwards Inn is a beautiful old world Inn. With only 60 rooms, it is spread over 2 1/2 blocks of beautiful old stone buildings. We were greeted at the curb before we even left our car. Check in was a breeze and they confirmed our dinner reservations and helped us with all of our plans. Both lobbies were stocked with free champagne, dove bars, bottled water and sodas. Our room was large and breathtaking with views and private balcony. The remote control fireplace, heated bath floors, large steam shower and jacuzzi tub exceeded our expectations. The baths were stocked with a dozen towels and top of the line spa products including bath salts. Our room was re-freshed 3 times per day but we never saw the housekeeping staff. They never knocked on our door or called to disturb us. I loved coming home to fresh towels in the afternoon and again in the evening. Slippers were left by our bed each evening. The town and hotel are spotless and friendly. The spa and workout facilities are better than I've ever experienced. Across the board, personnel were warm and friendly with the single exception of the stiff and snooty Sommalier at Madison's restaurant. The room service breakfast was clearly chef quality which made our disappoitng dinner at Madison's even more confusing. A 'grilled" ribeye steak was 1/4" thick and round and clearly steamed. Skip Madison's but take advantage of all the other amenities! The town is full of GREAT restaurants.

The hotel, the staff, the wedding venue . . . everything could not have been more agreeable. Everything about The Old Edwards Inn is "comfortable."

“More than expected!”

Old Edwards Inn exceeded my expectations in quality ammenities and service. The quaint surrounding town reminded us of a European surrounding with shops within walking distance. We enjoyed a home cooked breakfast at the local pharmacy and fellowship at the Edwards lodge. LOVED the cottages and fireplace lodge.

“A Wonderful Hotel”

The Old Edwards Inn is first class all the way. Rooms are beautifully furnished and the service is superb. A small cavil: our dining room waitress didn't write down our order and hence screwed it up, and while the room rate includes a continental breakfast, the breakfast allowance is not credited against breakfast ordered a la carte. Seems petty. Great location in the heart of Highlands.

“Hidden Gem”

We found Old Edwards Inn and Spa in a magazine. We liked the looks and amenities and decided to give it a try. While it was a trip to get there - we flew in to a local airport late at night and had to drive through the mountains to the Highlands - it was absolutely worth the trip. Highlands, NC is a small town in the corner of NC close to the SC and Georgia border. Quaint......The locals are genuine and down to earth. The staff and service were excellent! We were greeted by name and continually asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. The spa and fitness facilities were excellent. We plan to go back and encourage others to do the same.

Old Edwards Inn has exceptional service and is a beautiful inn. Their restaurant is excellent. I can't wait to go back!
