“Basic but good value for money”

we had an apartment which was advertised as sleeping 4. It would have been crowded and uncomfortable for 4 but was ideal for us as a couple. There was a double bedroom and a living room with sofa bed, table and chairs and a small kitchenette. There was a really nice tv and a dvd player. The bathroom was very modern with bath and shower over. There was also a small balcony with table and chairs. The location was slightly out of town but you could walk in in about 10 minutes. It was very quiet and there was a pool and lounging area which looked good but we didn't use it. Castries is small but has everything you need including a couple of boulangeries for the morning croissants and some very nice restaurants. There's a supermarket if you decide to cook at home and the backstreets have some friendly bars. The only down side is that everything closes quite early so don't go out after about 8.30 and if you decide to cook at the hotel there is absolutely nothing, not even some salt and pepper. They could do with offering the option of a welcome pack with some basics like tea and coffee. Altogether, very good value for a budget hotel.

“Residence Hotel Le Milos”

Hotel constitué de blocks de chambres séparés, ressemblant plutot à un camping qu'à un hotel traditionnel. Au restaurant, il me semble que c'est des plats préparés achetés d'un supermarché, puis chauffés au Micro-ondes. Chambres adjacentes et surtout celles du hauts sont bruillantes. Notre chambres est située au rez de chaussée et les gents du dessus sont rentrés à 3 heure du matin, engendrant un bruit infernal. La reception est fermée le soir. Aucun contact avec le personnel en cas d'urgence. Nous avons demandé des oreillés pour le lit, ce qui été promis mais rien n'a été fait. Nous étions heureux que nous avions reservé pour une nuit seulement.
