“Nice stay in Helsinki”
I like this hotel very much. The long hotel has over one hundred history. Its location is very convenient. The price is reasonable.
“My Best stay In Helsinki so far.........”
I have been to Helsinki three times, the other two previous times I stayed at the Sokos Hotel Presídenti, I thought that this was as good as it would ever get staying in an 4 star rated hotel until I decided to stay at the Hotelli Seurahuone. This Hotel has style, elegance and character. I did some research on line first, the picture online was exact, the room being spacious and elegant, clean and on a apr with some 5 star London Hotels and I had stayed in, could not beleive it. To top that breakfast was not the normal nordic fish and cucumber stuff rather eggs bacon warm bread etc. The location is fantastic, you could throw a stone and hit the central Helsinki train station so obviously you are right next to major transport hub, which means you can get the finair bus from across the road to the airport which is exreamly good value in compariosn to taking a taxis which will cost you alot lot more.Best hotel stay so far will be staying there on my next visit.
“Terrific location!”
The hotel is an ideal base being right next to trains, buses and trams; very easy to plan your activities around the city and surrounding areas. Rooms well finished, food excellent, and staff helpful.
“Amazing Hotel in Helsinki”
I love this hotel - from the convenience (opposite the train station/2 mins from the FinnAir bus stop) to the beautiful rooms and excellent breakfast. There are plenty of modern styled hotels in Helsinki, but this is different with a styling based on it's history - which I find very appealing. Chandeliers, sweeping stairway, exquisite bar - luxurious! The staff are polite, knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is great for the main attractions and transport.
“a lovely hotel”
modern amenities, but old-world charm. great weekend rates. lower-priced rooms small but luxurious. breakfast lavish and served in a beautiful, chandeliered room. main lobby small, like other posh Helsinki hotels, but adorned with intriguing period details. gorgeous bar. friendly staff. great location, right across from the train station, and near the bigger museums. recommended!
“Great location and good value for money. Highly recommended.”
Excellent central location opposite main train station square (but you can't hear the trains!) into which the bus from the airport comes, and a stone's throw from the harbour. Asked for a quiet room which we got (at the back - no view but that didn't matter) and the room was clean, elegant and modern and very well appointed, with tea making facilities too. Great breakfast and lovely grand dining room! Free use of the computer and printer tucked away in a private corner of the large reception area, and a really nice bar for drinks and snacks. Doubt if we will ever return to Helsinki, but if we did we would most definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Excellent City Hotel”
Due to a late flight we arrived at the hotel rather late. The receptionist was polite efficient and very helpful trying to find a restaurant that would still be serving a good meal. Our room was first rate with a good standard of furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The selection of complimentary toiletries impressed my wife. The Bathroom was clean and spacious. Overall we were very happy with the room. Breakfast was served nice and early with a good range of foods to keep even the most selective diner happy. The décor in the dining room is wonderful. This is my second visit to this hotel and we will return with our clients.
“very good with some irritations”
liked it a lot... location great, great access to lots of activities, cafes, restaurants, dockside market was specially good. Room was very nice, staff a little distant but that seems to be Finlandian behaviour... weather was pretty irritating (rainy and cool), but could have had that mud-sprayed front door cleaned every few days... first impressions, and all that
“Great Location, Great place to stay.”
This hotel is located right in the city center next to the national museum, a short walk from finlandia hall, the sibelius academy, and the port (where much of the sight seeing in the city takes place, and right across the street from the central station. The staff was kind and helpful, the breakfast was great, and the room was comfortable. Be sure to check the restaurant hours as they seemed to change evening by evening.
“best location”
hard to believe that a hotel this nice and across the street from the central train station could be so affordable
