Disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. the carpets were not vacuumed daily and the condition of the rooms was also not as clean as I would have expected.

outdated and room in bad condition

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: Nice people and it suited my needs for the most part.
Pop corn ceilings, peeling wallpaper, not to mention that one of the lamps in my room didn't even have a light bulb in it! The bathroom sink didn't drain well, and there were no complimentary bath items other than one little bar of soap. No shampoos, etc. To their credit they were in the middle of some renovating down in the lobby area...

This Hotel needs to get with it

Posted 18-Jan-2015
Cons: The woman at the front desk told me that Expedia always reserves handicapped rooms when I told her about the shower situation. I don't recall seeing a
My flight arrived after midnight so I was late getting to the hotel and it was cold out (teens if not single digits). I checked into the Hotel and went to my room. Imagine my dismay when I opened the door and the room was cold. They had rented the room but no one had gone down there to turn the heater on. As a result it was very late until the room was warm enough to go to bed and get to sleep. Secondly, and you are somewhat to blame for this as well, the room I was given was a handicap capable room. The shower is therefore wheelchair accessible and with poor drainage the floor of the bathroom would get flooded from taking a shower. And finally, I stayed in this hotel last June. The Dining/Lounge area was under construction then and still is. As a result it doesn't appear that they are getting many guests, at least not to the dining area. The Hotel seems to be dying. They need to get with it.

Missing Info

Posted 27-Dec-2014
Pros: Location to Freeway
Cons: Pool Maintenance Schedule & Hotel/Area Guide
The room didn't have the customary book of area info, channel guide, hotel amenities . . . . When I asked the staff the answer was a recent change in cabletv providers. So . . . . leave the rest of the book and remove the tv section. Also, if the pool is open until 10pm DON'T perform scheduled maintenance until after 10pm. I chose this hotel because after a long car ride my wife would need a soak in a nice hot tub. The hot tub was just being refiled after a routine cleaning. Also if you need to refill a hot tub you should refill it with hot water, not 48 degree tap water, so it will be back in service sooner.

I stayed during the middle of construction, they were ripping up carpets in the main lobby. It was very loud and dusty. You couldn't tell where the restaurant was it was covered up by a big tarp, the front desk had to tell me where it was. Other than that it's a nice place to stay.

Pros: COnvenient location.
Cons: Complementary coffee was removed from lobby pretty early in the morning, we were directed to buy it from the restaurant.
Location: Restaurant and downtown stores.
Pleasant hotel, carpet in room and shower could use refreshing / replacement.

Hotel was under construction

Posted 1-Dec-2014
Pros: Location, pool, exercise room. The bed was comfortable and the room was well-appointed.
Cons: The heating/AC was a unit on the wall and a bit difficult to control the temp. Also it might be a little difficult for someone who is in a wheelchair
Location: Lots to do if you're an outdoors person - hiking, etc., museums in town, great downtown walking mall with unique shops., etc.,
There was construction going on so there was some noise and dust. Also the heater in the room was difficult to get to a comfortable temp. The staff was nice and very accommodating and the pool and exercise area were nice as well. It is a pretty hotel

remodeled jewel

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: very well priced, yet met our every expectation
Cons: nothing
Location: close to everything
My past experience with older remodeled hotels is that they do as little as possible to give it a shine. Not so at this facility. Ground are well maintained. restaurant is complete, and the food was well prepared. the rooms are spacious and wifi is present. The Bed and bedding were top notch, and very comfortable. will stay here again!
