Soft, comfortable beds!

I've stayed at this hotel probably a dozen times. The beds are always comfortable, rooms spacious and clean and the staff very friendly. However, I have never stayed there when the pool area was in working order and that has been over the span of a few years, during the summer months. If that's not a concern for you then the slightly out of the way location is a quiet, comfortable spot to stay. Parking has always been good for us when we are traveling with trailers.

Pleasant stay close to airport.

Pros: The pleasant staff.
Cons: Increased hours for the restaurant.
I was needing a comfortable room to stay before flying out early the next day. Red Lion was great! The staff was exceptional and very willing to help with any request. A very comfortable, relaxing stay. An older motel but very well maintained.

Not bad for a quick trip through Helena

Pros: Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
Cons: The key card for the room was really stubborn. This was a problem when I stayed here in the past too.
Nicely positioned to let you easily get on the interstate or head down into town.

Nice hotel in the middle of the Helena

The room was clean , but the coffee machine was not cleaned It likes the previous guest just used it

Pros: quiet location; nice lobby w/beautiful staircase!..Night & day guards gave special attention to my pickup with ATV.
Cons: nothing
Location: State Capital; scenery; lake
2 day conference..all good INCLUDING Conference service and food and a friendly staff.

Dirty room

Pros: The free breakfast was amazing.
Cons: The housekeeping staff.
The first room we walked in to hadn't been cleaned, sheets were in a heap and dirty towels on bathroom floor. Went to get a different room, manager suggested a free breakfast for our troubles, but the gal whom checked us in said that was too much work and would have to register us all over, so the manager gave us a drink token. My mom (72) and I weren't about to visit the bar. The 2nd room we walked in to had food on the desk chair, floor in bathroom was dirty, hair on shower walls and the housekeeper probably had never heard of dusting. The free breakfast was amazing in the morning. We will stay again, hopefully this was a fluke. The breakfast was what has us wanting to come back with my son and niece.

Overall a good hotel to stay. However, they need to offer complimentary breakfast since that is the common practice for motels. Could have stayed at another motel for the same price with breakfast included.
