“Best Place to Stay on the Big Island”
We had a fantastic time on the Big Island and a big part of our enjoyment was staying at the Fairmont. The staff is very friendly, upbeat and full of smiles. It really set the mood for our stay. Every request we made of the hotel was met with a sincere attitude of wanting to ensure that our time at the hotel was nothing short of wonderful. The staff even tried to anticipate our needs with simple things like offering to clean our sunglasses. The beach activities staff are very knowledgeable about the use all the equipment available for checkout as well as the local historical facts. The management here is spot on.
“Love to go back”
Lovely hotel and grounds. Don't be put off by the rocky terrain on your drive in, the grounds are lush and beautifully maintained. Pool is far enough away that any noise does not make it to the rooms. Spa treatments were a real treat. Took my teenage daughters and would love to spend some time here again on my own - very relaxing.
“A perfect 10”
This hotel and staff scored a perfect 10. We were greeted upon arrival with a lei and a check in process that was fast and friendly. Walking into the lobby and seeing the ocean, grounds and tropical setting reminded us of a 5 star hotel. Room was large, very clean and the view was terrific. Breakfast buffet was extensive and the quality of the food was consistently reflective of a 5 star hotel. The concierge "G" provided great recommendations for places to visit on the Hilo side of the island. We could not have been more pleased with our hotel selection and look forward to returning soon.
“Wow”
The Fairmont Orchid is an elegant hotel paired with an easy comfort level-and this hotel has all the amenities- excellent personal and prompt service. Beautiful grounds w/ special tranquil spots for taking in the ocean and surroundings. Request a room with an ocean view for the total experience. The Spa Without Walls is a must!
“First class resort”
The Fairmont is a truely first class resort. The room was clean and beatifully kept. Hotel personnel were polite, friendly, and attentive. The resort restaurants are a bit pricey but there are plently of other local eateries to choose from off resort property. One small complaint might be that there are no drawers or cupboards in the bathroom area to place your toileteries.
“Can't wait to go back”
This place is unbelievable!!
“true Hawaiian romantice getaway”
