“Cozy cottage. Feel like at home.”

The cottage is perfect for a small family. We really had a cozy time there. The cottage locates very convenient place. It is close to the volcano and also the volcano village restaurants. Very quiet and comfortable place to stay. We'll be back when we have a chance to visit the volcano again. Bob and Bonnie are very friendly and nice people. We enjoyed very much. Thank you very much for a nice time!

“Wish we'd stayed longer....”

We loved our stay in the Artist's Cottage. It was very cozy and I've never seen a place so well stocked with food, liquor, cds, dvds--you name it. The proprietors were so nice (aloha spirit!) and we enjoyed getting to know them. Wish we had booked more nights!

“Great place to stay”

On our vacation we wanted to hike in the Volcano National Park and Artist Cottage was just the perfect place to stay. Minutes away from the Park entrance - we did not waist any time. The cottage is well equipped, very cozy and nice place to rest in the evening. Bonnie and Bob are great hosts. Would certainly recommend to others.

Our stay was a surprise, but for all the right reasons. Our room was beautifully set out and the kitchen area was a delight. The fridge, freezer and cupboards were stocked with all manner of treats and both our hosts made us feel most welcome. We will certainly go back.

“Comfortable, convenient, quiet”

Our stay was very comfortable. The cottage is in a very quiet neighborhood and is well located for visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. It's just a few minutes to drive to the restaurants in the town of Volcano (we liked Kiawe kitchen and the Kilauea lodge restaurant). The cottage has a kitchen, and is very well stocked with food, snacks, bathroom items, and has a laptop and internet connection with wifi.

Very comfortable, relaxing cottage in a perfect locations for exploring Volcanoes National Park. The owner was on hand to welcome us and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Would certainly go back again.

We had a very wonderful experience a The Artist Cottage. It is a wonderful home away from home. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we did. Bob and Bonnie were great host, they really make you feel welcome and I highly recommend this cottage as a perfect place to visit.

“great place to stay in Volcano”

Our only suggestions to the owners, Bonnie and Bob, would be: 1) to clear away some of the kitchen and bath items so guests have more room for their own things and perhaps remove some of the knick knacks elsewhere that make the place a bit cluttered 2) add a small couch or two comfortable chairs in the living room for sitting; it is handy to have the bed there for people traveling with children but there is no comfortable place to sit in front of the fireplace Otherwise, this is a lovely, comfortable place, well-stocked with handy food items. Having a laptop with DSL available for guest use was a BIG plus! The owners are lovely, caring people who do not intrude on your privacy.
