“Wow! what a Gem.”
Our stay at Kona Seaside Inn was a wonderful experience. I will not hesitate to return or recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
“Would abolutely recommend”
The staff at Kona Seaside Hotel was very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was very clean and the room was as well. It is in a very good location too.
“Very comfortable with friendly staff”
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the view was good and the room was large enough and kept at a comfortable temperature. There were 2 negatives: no coffee maker in room or coffee available in the lobby and the room was noisier than we would have liked. We could hear traffic noise with all doors & windows closed.
“great affordable lodging in the heart of Kailua-Kona”
This is an older hotel about a block from Kona pier. The room we were in was clean and had a balcony with lawn chairs overlooking one of the 2 pools in the property. There was a fridge and coffee maker with complimentary Kona coffee. The staff were helpful and friendly. You can get a complimentary hot breakfast at their restaurant Tante which fronts Alii drive and a view of the bay. The location is excellent because there are a lot of diverse restaurants within walking distance. On days when there are cruise ships at the pier there are free shuttles running to Walmart Kmart and the International Marketplace. Otherwise you can ride the trolley that runs down Alii drive and to the shopping malls for 1 buck. We only rented a car for the days when we went to the other parts of the island. It will cost you 5 bucks a day to park your rental and if you are out late at night you may have to park on the city street. Another negative is wifi connection is 10 bucks a day or 25 for a week. Overall we had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again
“Good budget experience”
The Kona Seaside is an old family run complex that is very basic but meets all needs. Always clean, hot water when you need it, two outside pools, right on the main tourist shopping road, short cut through the complex. If you want room service or fancy food, find an up scale resort, but if you want a clean, safe and friendly location this is for you. Only complaint...has refrigerator but no coffe pot in the rooms.
“fabulous value”
Very reasonably priced hotel with tons of character. It is steps from the town and the harbor of Kona making it easy to check out different restaurants and stores. It is aging but very clean and the owners/managers/staff are very friendly and helpful. The initial impression is of a small multistoried hotel, but the grounds and buildings are much larger and sprawling with beautiful gardens, 2 pool areas and a great indoor/outdoor restaurant/bar.
“Great value, great location, great find!”
This hotel is a tremendous bargain. Everything was clean, the location was excellent and I would go back in a heartbeat. Good staff too. You can't beat the price.
“A nice basic hotel”
I very much enjoyed my stay at Kona Seaside. The shower was a little quirky but just fine. If you want glitz, luxury, glamour, and fancy stuff, DON'T stay here. It is a very basic, budget-type hotel. We got a Superior Garden room with a nice balcony, a small fridge(and it was empty-they don't put stock it with that crud like the fancy hotels do. When I return I will stay at Kona Seaside, or their sister hotel in Hilo, The Hilo Seaside.
“Kona SeaSide”
Great place to stay in the most beautiful place on earth. Near EVERYTHING.
“Great Location Super Staff Nice Room”
Great Kona location, nice shopping, Superb BK Coffee shop nearby, wonferful Big Island experience. Snorkelling, Helicopter tours, silver sand beaches are all at stones throw away distance. This is an amazing Hawaiian family owned hotel with warm hospitality. Good seaside view.
