“Great Experience on the Kohala Coast”
The Islands was absoluetly fantastic. If I return to the Kohala Coast I will definately be staying here again. The pool, the beach, the accomidations, the service, were all exceptional.
“Great Location”
Very nice place. Other condos in the Mauna Lani resport are built with a higher density of units than the islands. You don't feel like you are cheek-to-jowl with your neighbors. Service was very nice. Housekeeping could have been a little more attentive. For example they never ran or emptied our dishwasher. Other than that a very pleasant experience. Very warm reception upon check-in.
“Fantastic!”
Had a wonderful time. Really was a comfortable and nice place to stay.
“Extremely Impressed”
Our stay at the Islands of at Mauna Lani was absolutely wonderful! The resort is gorgeous and immaculate. Our condo was extremely clean and more beautiful than I anticipated. It was very spacious and the views were breathtaking. We had daily maid service and they did a fabulous job. I have never stayed at any hotel or resort as clean and beautiful as this one. The customer service was the best that I have ever experienced. I really can not say enough good things about this resort. You have access to your own private beach that is more beautiful than words can describe and there are restaurants, a grocery store and shopping near by. My husband and I will always stay at this resort when we travel to Hawaii. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!
“It is a very nice place”
We liked the place in Hawaii on Big Island. It is a nice resort. Beautiful location, very different layout, good golf course look.
“Great Family Place”
This is a great family condo. It is private and clean with your own garage. It felt like a home away from home. The private beach was fantastic and we had a great time.
“Amazingly spacious and comfortable-great for families.”
The Islands was a great property. The condo was immaculate, there were groceries stocked upon our arrival, and the cleaning service came daily. The property was very well kept, and had beautiful landscaping surrounding it.The location was great with golf, tennis and the beach within walking distance. We loved the new mall that opened nearby, especially the Tommy Bahamas Restaurant! I can't wait to go back.
“Wonderful place to stay!”
We really enjoyed our townhouse location. The two bedroom had plenty of room for us and our teenage son. The pool area was close by with a great pool and hot tub. It is about 20 to 30 minutes north of Kona. Daily maid service with a full kitchen and laundry was a nice convenience. Lots of birds and nice landscaping outside too.
“absolutely fabulous”
Our family of 5 just spent 9 days at the Islands at Mauna Lani. What a luxurious and fabulous complex! We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. We had more than enough room, and we could walk out across our grassy back yard onto the golf course, and across to shopes and restaurants, or out to a pool and beautiful hot tub we shared with other condos in the gated complex. A short drive or 15 minute walk to an amazing snorkeling beach, better than most we have ever seen, was in one direction, and a short drive or walk to the Mauna Lani beachfront hotel complex with tide pools, sea turtles, pool/hot tub/lavish hotel grounds in the other. The two beaches are a ten minute walk from one another past palm trees, koi ponds, eels and lava formations. Amazing. The trip was expensive but worth every penny for a truly luxurious getaway. The only thing that was frustrating was that the Mana Lani hotel complex won't let the Islands (condo) guests charge to their room while at their beach, pool or restaurants. It would have been nice not to carry cash or credit cards for incidentals. The golf course was so gorgeous, ocean, lava, mountains capped with snow. The staff could not have been more helpful. We loved the basket of groceries (bread, fruit, milk, eggs, jelly, juice) in the room on arrival.
“We loved it!”
What a beautiful place for a family vacation! We thought that the condo was beautiful. It had everything that we could have possibly needed. It was big and roomy. We were there with our 3 daughters and there was plenty of room for everyone. The end of May was a great time to go. It was very quiet. The Mauna Lani resort property was breathtaking, once you get over the initial shock of all of that lava. The property is very large. Take a map with you on your first time out. Trust me on this one. I had a long, hot walk back to the condo when I took a wrong turn.
